I read a post pointing out that with OW 2 statistically the amount of female players is declining much unlike the male player base. Anyone have some info about this? Just a fluke maybe? I find this pretty interesting if true, from a social standpoint. Is OW 2 “less social” perhaps?
How exactly did they measure this, through anecdotal evidence?
I read somewhere the earth was flat, doesn’t mean it’s true.
By… checking with players? I mean what do you think how they measured it, by reading the stars or something?
I wouldn’t take click bait, fluff pieces like too seriously.
What should be reported is their is 3 times more players right now, than when OW1 was a peak.
Who really cares who or what they identify as.
There’s no proof of such info, just speculation.
As in quote the sources, how do they know the sample was representative.
are you sure it’s a decline in the female players and not just an increase in male players?
but if it is, i can probably think of a reason why.
with the loss of the second tank more supports gets targeted a lot more easily and ladies likes to play supports more than guys do in general (it doesn’t mean that they don’t play other roles too)
but with that in mind there’s been an uproar about how fragile supports feels playing compared to OW1 when they don’t have the same amount of peels they are used to.
and i totally get that.
I would want to see the evidence behind the post and how the study was conducted.
If they don’t provide it then they are just speculating and the rumour mill should stop there.
