I’m playing OW since the early days. I bought the game back in the days (again a game which became free years later… whatever) so I know a thing or two about how the game was. I DO NOT usually open tickets or topics even in games that I play regularly. I’m trying to tell you how annoying this is…
A couple of my friends randomly started trying out the new OW and we started to play together. My friend ‘K’ is playing tank. The other one ‘C’ is a healer. We were griding 50 wins for ‘K’ so we can play competitive together. Not that we want to play this seriously but we figured out I would be way more challanging for us.
Today we hit that 50 wins. Started playing competitive games. First one is a win. Everyone plays their main roles. Next game in - queue up - and ‘C’ cannot pick healer for some reason. It is locked. He played 10+ competitive games since the game came out never faced this issue. Whatever - he raged a little bit - we won anyways. 3rd game: ‘K’ and ‘C’ cannot go into their main roles AGAIN (me who plays dmg have no issue) so they both have to go offrole. We lose. Next game. ‘C’ can magicly choose support (NO TANK) but ‘K’ still cannot choose tank for some reason. What the hell is this?
We would like to enjoy this game casually with my friends by playing what we are good at. We did not ask for the stupid ass feature which I did not meet with in my gaming career. Is this a bug? I hope so - because I cannot find a clear statement about it online why the system works this way. If this is a feature there should be a page explaining the logic behind this…right???
Anyways - if this is a feature I would like to ask the development team. What were you guys thinking seriously? That this feature would actually make a difference? It is almost as bad as autofill in League of Legends - a company that finally realized their mistake and started working on it that in competitive it should impact matches.
Fix this. Since it is a free game I hope it is not too much to ask from you.
