Ow2 suspension 14 days

They’ve been treating their playerbase very bad lately it’s actually disgusting. This is why they’re getting bad rep… They don’t care anymore. They seem to throw out bans / suspensions / silences like they’re going out of fashion. If they carry this up, they’ll end up destroying their company.

Never used to be this bad, it’s quite scary and concerning.

This is quite the claim in response to a few people getting suspended.

What has triggered this indignation, someone you know get banned? or just don’t like anyone being banned?

People used to get banned a lot more frequently tbf.

I once got suspended for 7 days with an email explaining why. In this email, the “affected account” was a battlenet tag/name that wasn’t even mine (but sent to my email) and the greeting in the email was to a person I have never heard of.

I’m 100% sure they have corruptions and data contamination in their systems. This is now an 8 year old spaghetti code product, with a database that has been upgraded/converted/modified probably thousands of times.

We’re talking about a company who does only a skin/shop update, but yet result in 25 new in-game bugs and server crashes.

We’re talking about a company who THIS very season, accidentally season banned thousands of players for over a week.

We’re talking about a company who can’t figure out how to code proper match making and ranking system, even though 100 other games does it perfectly.

Only really naive people would expect this game and it’s mechanics and features to work properly.

Nah, it’s just a copy paste template. Someone in CS just didn’t give a s that night.

No, it’s was/is 100% corrupted database and data contamination. I was away for vacation during the given date and my account wasn’t even played at the time.

Guess reports have been assessed and action taken. They don’t need you to be playing right now for that.

To the op if you have spend this much time and still have not learned then you should be permanent banned and not suspended

There was no reports on my account. I got it appealed and they confirmed it was an error. Stop guessing.

Given you provided little to no information. People had to guess.

Don’t get upset about it.

I gave ample information. “People” didn’t have to guess. Only you had to guess. I am not upset at all.

Where did he mention that he’s upset? He didn’t mention it anywhere…

I’m furious, personally. I got muted when I came back into it because I was genuinely toxic, that’s fair. It took me a bit to learn my lesson after that, but I stopped being toxic pretty fast. Outside of maybe a few “dirty” conversations and CONSTANT reports from people who just don’t like the heroes I play, I don’t know what I did to receive a chat warning followed by an immediate suspension the next day. They don’t tell you ANYTHING about what caused your punishment and that’s because it’s mostly automated, and a third party would have to genuinely justify the punishment. Add that to the difficulty of starting an appeal ticket at all, they just really do NOT care about genuine positivity in their games. I was positive, having good matches, going up in rank and endorsement after my suspension… and now that’s all crashed because of a two week suspension I don’t understand. I bought Overwatch, they made it free, they abandoned maintaining the community, left us high and dry… I am rarely satisfied with my matches anymore even when we win, honestly think this might be it for me for all Blizzard products going forward…
