They have sim cards that can be bought without any documents. Most are free or dirt cheap. Find someone from those countries and pay them a little $$. Depending on the person even $10 is a lot for them. They get paid and you get bulk numbers. So far they can easily be used on new accounts.
There will be a huge demand for them once the game goes free as well. So get your smurfs ready and verified. F2P baby!!!
philippines have similar sim cards too but you need to reload $1.4 once every 2 months.
You can get bull SIM cards in the UK for next to nothing.
This won’t be to “stop smurfing”, it’ll just be for extra security protections due to accounts having more paid for content.

Most providers will give pay as you go cards for free.
I cant figure out a way to change the area code. my Japanese account needs a Japanese phone number and my uk ones are stuck with +44.
its not an issue for the uk ones, they are cheap as anything here but hell if I know how to get a Japanese phone number over here.
Try looking up either Mobal or Sakura Mobile.
They are good for getting a number before setting up a Japanese bank account.
Mobal are a good one as they donate a bulk of their profits to charity.
you can ask customer care to change the region for you. If not sakura is the cheapest then mobal iirc. But to get long term numbers from them you do need to prove that you’re in japan. If not its the tourist type numbers
