Ping randomly jumps please help

Ping jumps from 100 to 150 and sometimes a lot more (about 600)
when that happens, i either freeze in place, it moves ON ITS OWN towards a wall or towards my enemies, or it freezes them and then teleports them which can surprise me and confuse me because then i dont see them.
i dont know how to fix it, please help.

For example, last game I was with reaper, and i wanted to use his teleport (E) to get close to the objective, i aimed on the far floor, clicked left button, and instead of teleporting my character suddenly starting walking backwards, and then it teleported to some object on the map that was 1 meter away from. I swear to god its almost as if someone installed another keyboard to my computer and is trying to mess with me.

Been running into the same issues, I’ve been seeing people constantly disconnecting in comp matches on ps4. My internet is fine, could it be the servers?

i have the same issue for a week and I got no response and havn’t fixed it. At least ALL other games works fine. Its stupid that my favourite game is unplayable and support just ignores counless threads in this forum about it. (The issue is random 2k+ ping for packets from OW servers)

I want to notify as well that since today, I experience some connectivity problems until the point that the game became unplayable for me. This is the first in three years this happened to me.

It normally runs smoothly at around 90 FPS, but because of extreme ping jumps, it goes as low as 2-3 fps for 3 seconds straight or even a complete freeze every so often for around 4-5 seconds as my character walks into walls or off the map. Perhaps it’s because of the servers that can’t take the load of extra players since the start of the holidays? Just a wild guess since I’m by far not an expert.

In the meantime, I’ll try to follow the troubleshooting steps and see if that helps me.

Lol whats up with you, man. I cannot play only this game while ALL others just fine and YOU, who just noone, says I need to somehow change my provider while I really dont have this option at my hometown and it just useless since the problem is only with OW. I ran all diagnostics and they shown than connection from blizard sercer to me is fine but game and WinMTR says that servers stagger packages up to 4000ms every third second. What more do you need to know? That HotS, Fortnite, CS, any other game work fine with less that 80ms ping and no rubberbanding at all?

You just going through all forums pretending to know something but mostly just blaming people and making them do tests.

You are strange person.
I commented so people would know that not only them have such problems and to get some attention for this problem. I’ve done all tests and I said earlier and noone unswered from support. and post was deleted by support maybe because they seen that nothing could be made from my side. Maybe it’s you who deleted it& :slight_smile:
BTW i checked and its kinda playable now without me doyng a thing.

It was from 0 to 1 always. Sometimes even worse. Don’t play smartie here.

I’m happy to read that the game is playable now though! Should the issue resurface, please make sure you follow troubleshooting steps here (basic and advanced) and open your own thread should there be no improvements. Make sure you copy there your traceroute and pathping results as well - both tests must be done during a problematic moment.

Please keep also in mind that we always inform players about any service disruption/interruption across all games. If you aren’t doing that already, make sure you keep an eye on our dedicated Twitter feed.
