Its stupid, Bastion with Shields is impossible to kill, get Orisa? tried that, Zarya just bubbles him.

It’s one of the easiest comp to counter, bastion is a problem only in silver/gold
Use your mic!
Use Genji to block
Mei to freeze or ice wall to lift him up
D.VA to put the bomb on payload
Sombra to put him in recon mode, her emp also removes shields
Reaper to drop on payload
Torbjorns ultimate or his turret on the payload
Symmetra´s turrets
Junkrat´s any tool
Drop down from a ledge with Rein and push him off with his charge!

Easiest thing to try and do is go junkrat and suicide on bastion

The issue is that Bastion needs teamwork and coordination to kill. I’m guessing you don’t have such a luxury.
The best thing you can do solo is pick Sombra and keep hacking Bastion from behind before filling him with bullets. If you can’t kill him before you have to reload, translocate out. EMP utterly destroys that comp if your team follows it up with a dive on the Bastion.
Junkrat or Pharah also work because they can destroy shields so quickly. If it’s a map with lots of flanking routes (and they only have the one shield), Roadhog can hook Bastion out of Sentry Mode from behind.
But I 100% agree that pirate ship is idiotically overpowered. Unless you’re playing as an actual team, Bastion eats through the lot of you without a single rez in the world.
You guys seem to forget that half the comp playerbaser is lower than 2000 SR and that rush and bastion comps currently are the only comps in silver/bronze. They are simple and work great because some strategy is always better than no strategy. It’s not about having a good strategy, it’s about having any strategy. I don’t have anything against them since it’s always great to play with or against good team play. But people should stop just dismissing this topic with a “Git gud” or “Goats is only good comp”. People often ask how to “counter” Bastion. What they fail to realize is that they aren’t losing to Bastion but a whole team that’s doing something right. No, you can’t just counter a team alone, only with another good team. (You can carry of course but then you’ll soon be in plat)

That comp is only viable on junkertown and Bastion is meh
well its somehow working in 3300. I’ve tried all sorts of things to counter it. Mainly CC, such as Roadhog Hook, not effective if they have any shield tank (which they always do). So I try Orisa to pull them off and disorientate them. Nah, everytime I do that the Zarya bubbles the Bastion. I know this comp takes co-ordination. But jesus christ its a lot to take down. I’d be open to any ways to counter pirate ship. This post was made mostly in the heat of the moment. But I’m just saying, I ain’t a below average player, I’m not the best either. But even in mid diamond theres a lack of synergism. Like you said, I’d play Sombra but I usually main tank/off tank. And it feels against Bastion I can’t really do much.
How is this Comp even still a thing it’s been months since it was relevant
