Not so good. Any tips ?
Don’t worry. Placements do (almost) nothing! Your skill rating is based on your performance of your last season/ your hidden MMR if it’s your first season.
Placements only adjust it a little bit.
So basically if I get better this season, but might lose more sr due to more losses, I can get a higher rating next season?
My placements were 4 wins/6 losses. Got in sth 1800-1900 and dropped to 1650 but getting slowly higher again.
They do if it’s his first time playing mate
No, not exactly. Basically what happens is that your first placement matches and the games that you’ve played in qp before competitive decide your mmr.
Your mmr decides your rp gains and loses for the most part while also deciding were you should be placed after your placements.
Your mmr is something that can only be changed by consistently playing better than people at the same mmr as you
Something which you can’t do with 10 placement matches if you play the game more than once a season.
The first placements base SR on your hidden MMR. This makes your ingame performance more important than winning or losing.
Reading a bit more than needed doesn’t hurt
Same for you (20char)
I feel like every season is worse than the previous.
When I started I playing Overwatch, finished only few points away from Platinum.
Since that, it’s getting progressively worse in terms of teams. And I just hit silver?!
Still getting people in Gold who think yolo charging will reap anything.
Matches are incredibly imbalanced. Faceroll or get facerolled. Hardly ever I get something balanced.
By all means I don’t consider myself good, but come on. It’s getting ridiculous with this kind of MM.
Again likewise
…
If you solo queue then your SR is just a reflection of your matchmaking luck. I’ve been as low as nearly silver and as high as 2800 plat, playing the same amount and the same characters. Dont focus too much on your SR, if you do it’ll drive you crazy.
but i don’t want to lose my SR status. I hate being in Silver. The toxicity
