Player Red Mark

Players who are caught cheating, leaving, or ruining the game should have a visible red mark added to their profile.
This will name and shame anti-social players
Additionally this red mark will serve a function. Where players with this mark will be placed with other players with a red mark. This protects the main playerbase from cheaters, and keeps the antisocial players playing together, leavers will experience more leavers themselves, and cheaters will see more cheaters, this will show how it feels to play against these kinds of players, as well as making the competition more even so to speak as dispite cheaters rarely quitting, at least the hacks arnt used to torment the regular gamers.
Think of this as a pre-ban method. Of course cheating is punishable by account ban or termination, and so after the ban is over maybe keep the red mark on for a while until they can safely play with the other kids
Finally if a player wishes to leave this pool, they need to either wait it out by playing so many games without leaveing/cheating. Or get an endorsment level of lets say 5. Depending on the crime

They should just add them to a cheater/leaver lobby, where their hero picks gets a huge tinfoil hat with the letters ‘I am a bad person’ if it’s a leaver lobby and a ‘I cheated and got caught’ if it’s a cheater lobby.

At least for cheaters, they should be perma banned, not allowed to play anymore…

We currently have the endorsement level, if you leave to much or get repported, you’ll lose endorsement.

This is something often asked why not… I heard Marvel Rivals is going in that direction. Personally I prefer something like a ‘leaver queue’ for leavers. If someone leaves x games. Next x games they will be only queued to replace other leavers (backfilling)

As I said before, once someone is detected using cheats, they will be permanent banned.

I dont know the system for cheaters, as i have only been banned for toxicity. But I always assumed you got temp banned, and so this red mark was a way to punish afterwards

Nahh, I think in the majority of FPS games, cheating = permanent ban

You got such red player in your team, what do you do next?
It won’t change anything.

I think the main idea is to put red marked players in special lobbies, playing against other red marked players, so they can taste their own venon :supervillain:

The idea is to

If you want to make “special olympics” you just do that. In dota it’s low priority matches for example.

I’m talking about this:

Servers don’t need “RED” marks, you just mark them in a database.

Having a visible flag would maybe make some players feel shamed of having a red mark and so make them do not leave so much.

Personally I have real life friends and co-workers playing the game, I wouldn’t like justify myself for a red-mark xd

Even better works them having some word written on their forehead.
