So I have lost my dimond couple seasons ago because of leavers, now Im in gold. I consider my self as an experienced player, maybe not a good one but I definitely know some basics of OW and character mechanics.
Players, Im forced by the broken system to play with, are mostly people who just bought OW, players who dont know the basics and throwers… and I am talking about both teams my and enemy. This is the reason I dont enjoy the game because around the rank of 2900 the gameplay is much more interesting and absolutely different from the goofy sandbox i am stuck in. Unfortunately due ridiculous amount of leavers in MY team I can not progress in competitive mode . there are 40% of matches that I win, 30% matches I could win but did not because of a leaver and 30% of lose.
Leavers usually are players with slavic nicknames, some are allegedly kids (judging by their voice and behavior) but all of them are endorsement lvl 1.
So my question is: How can one progress in competetive rank if your skill matters almost nothing . You can literally throw games and win just because there is a leaver in the enemy team.
Hey. I just played 3 competitive games after work . 2 of them we had a leavers in my team (obviously).
3d game we managed to make it with 5 players vs 6 through all points in kinds row in overtime but lost in the seven round because it was so imbalanced.
That sounds rough… as I said in my post if they didn’t put a loss on peoples records if you have leavers (and more severe penalties for leavers) comp would be 100 times better.
So you say if you cant win a 6 vs 5 fight YOU are not good enough? My situation is extreme thats why I took it to the forums . I literally have a leaver/ discconect every second game. Check out the competetive forum topics - most of the are about the leavers. The problem is REAL
No, I didn’t say that. I don’t believe that what you said is true thus the reason why you’re deranking is because of your performance.
If you want people to actually believe you. Stream while you play, if what you’re saying is true it wouldn’t be hard to prove you right after 2 odd hours of streaming

Dude, I’m calling bs and screenshots don’t mean jack. Stream your games or record you playing multiple games after one another. Nothing else would prove your point
I don’t approve leaving but sometimes the games are soooooo bad stabbing out both your eyeballs sounds like a great alternatieve. I lost 300 rating in 3 days cause of players who are struck by f’ing artardness beyond limits. Their IQ must be lower than the Marianna trench…
My friend, if you were really a diamond rank player, unless you get a leaver every game, if you keep playing you will be back into at least high plat without a problem, but you are struggling in gold, that’s another story.

Today I have decided to find a group through the “find a group” option.
We have gathered a party of 6 and started playing.
Then one of the players said: - “sorry guys my mom is mad, I have to go” and left the game in the middle. We lost
NEXT GAME , we found another guy to fill up the slot of the guy who left.
Game started, both dps want to play hanzo, one gets mad because the other took the character and leaves in the middle of the game too. Then I stopped playing.
leavers happen to both sides. So I simply cant believe they are the reason why you deranked so much. BUT if they happen to you more than to others, I would look for the issue at yourself first.

I bought 2 redbulls and started the overwatch in order to give it another chance.
First game was good we won thanks to a perfect teamwork
Second game was good too but yet we had a LEAVER AGAIN. Guy tried to reconnect twice but did not success. We managed to take the first point on Hollywood with 5 players vs 6, then we pushed the payload almost till the finish but they have an advantage of 6th player and the spawn room next to the point so we lost.
Having the same issues. Since avoid as team mate is limited to X people and leaving hurts my SR/MMR I stick a piece of tape around my controller and wait in spawn. You won’t get banned / removed for it. You can’t expect me to stay when a) my team consists out of 3 snipers and 2 DPS b) people go 1 vs 4-6 all the time. “My name is (HERO) and welcome to Jackass!” Pewwwww newww newwwwwww
In before people get offended/triggered; i play healer and try my best but if people suck they suck and fail to cooperate there is no point in continuing.
Lost ~350 rating due to shiity egoistic team mates whom all have a Rambo attitude. I’m done with them.
There is also c) when there is a tank and a healer who group up to go left just go right! And d) if you run no hitscan and pharmercy is raping you please do not go hitscan to improve our win chance…
One thing I have noticed, but I have not seen before is that this last week, I got a lot of “bad network connection” warnings in the game.
I have not been disconnected, but a ton of others has been. A few matches actually ending up being 4 vs 5 or something like that.
SO it might actually not be leavers. The servers might be under attack or straining for some reason.
