Please Add Manual Server Selection – Gulf/Saudi/MiddleEast Server's Is Ruining the Experience

Hello Blizzard team,

I’m writing as a long-time Overwatch player based in Saudi Arabia. I genuinely love the core of your game, and I appreciate the effort your team puts into keeping it fresh. However, there’s one major issue that’s genuinely affecting my enjoyment and mental well-being while playing: the forced matchmaking to the Gulf (Saudi) server.

Unfortunately, this server is filled with toxic behavior, negative energy, and a distinct lack of team spirit. It’s not about skill level or casual vs. competitive – it’s the overall mindset and communication quality that make matches feel frustrating, hopeless, and demoralizing.

Every time I queue up, I feel like I’m being thrown into a black hole of bad vibes. No one cooperates, no one cares about playing as a team, and it’s become almost impossible to have a positive or even neutral experience.

What makes this worse is that I have no way of switching to another region like Europe or the US, where matches often feel more coordinated, respectful, and enjoyable – even with a slight increase in ping.

I’m genuinely asking you to add an option to manually select the region/server before queuing, just like other modern games. This small addition would drastically improve the experience for players like me who want to escape this localized toxicity and play in environments that promote teamwork and healthy competition.

Please consider this request seriously. Overwatch has the potential to be a joyful, competitive, and unifying game – but the current matchmaking limitations are blocking that potential for many of us in the Gulf region.

Thank you for your time and your incredible work on the game.

Sincerely,
A loyal but frustrated player
