Poor Roadhog, getting caught in the crossfire that is the patch updates.
His damage is what makes him so bad to play as now.
I can still hook a Tracer, but when i land the hook on her, she survives no matter what part of her body i aim for. And my melee doesn’t even matter because she escapes so quickly.
Trying to hook Tracer as Roadhog is already difficult enough, not even being able to insta-kill her is just a real kick in the teeth when she recalls and your hard-earned hook is wasted.
Please just give Roadhog a slight damage buff on his scrap gun. It would really help since he isn’t getting picked as much anymore.

No-one has ever liked 1shot hook because it’s almost unavoidable especially in the stun meta. Tracey should also be allowed to escape hook because it punished your team for not shooting her on the way to you. You can still right click people from mid range and still 1shot 200hps so idk why you think his damage isn’t good enough.
While I agree with you - Cree and Brigitte can still 1shot tracer during a stun 
so does widow and Hanzo without a stun(and mcree doesn’t need one either)
The mccree and Brigitte stuns, while unfair, are quite close range and therefore punish the player for being in range but hog’s hook is long range and is used for kills and stuns less than punishing bad positioning. Also, widow and hanzo can 1shot all squishies which actually annoys me because 1shots have never been fun to play against. Lastly hog is not supposed to counter tracer and I don’t think a bulky tank with a 300hp heal and damage reduction should also be allowed to 1shot but he actually still can with the right click and sometimes left click if he’s lucky enough. I think this is unbalanced in any mode other than 6v6 anyway so I don’t think we should make it as bad as it was with hook 1.0 along with guaranteed 1shot.
I mean hook isn’t that hard to dodge. Either pick a hero that can block or dodge the ability (like reaper, rein, orisa, zarya, genji, or even tracer if you’re confident), or outrange him with a hitscan or sniper, or just know where he is positioned. Most hogs don’t exactly act subtle when they want to hook you.
Also, a damage buff for him would probs add another brig counter. That would be nice.
hook 1.0 is dead and should remain so along with the meta it brought.

his damage was nerfed by 33% and they added faster fire rate as well and bigger clip
same dps lower burst cus it was busted…
so lets not go back to that…

True, the one shot burst was kind of stupid.
However, a 10% damage increase wouldn’t hurt.
On paper, roadhog should counter Brig, but he cannot because his damage is just too low.
wrong he can 2 or 3 shot her shield out side her bash range
also hog needs to be with the team, and if she pushes past sheild she should be melted with out help

he should not one shot after every hook. been there done that, he is in a good place, the rest of your team can do the other 20-50 damage.
