Please Blizzard. Having private profiles on every player is really frustrating and you can’t even see their profiles when you hover your mouse over their name. Now every normal matchmaking game (without the group finder) is a complete shiet show.
How does seeing a teammates profile help once you are in a game with them?
profiles only contribute to problems that make others toxic, oh he has played some Mercy lets harras this guy till he plays Mercy.
“Show profile” is set to “friends only” by default. Friends can see your profile but strangers don’t.
The only purpose in looking at a profile is to see the most played heroes but that leads to biases.
If a “mercy main” plays another hero then you might think the game is lost because “that mercy main is throwing” by playing another hero.
If you personally think that showing your profile is beneficial, then change it for yourself. However, due to privacy issues, blizzard reckons that nobody should get forced to show their profiles by making them public on default.
Same biases happen on forum to, its so frustrating.
I totally agree that profiles should be set public as default. Those who wish to hide it they can.
Profile stats became somewhat irrelevant as 90% of people don’t care to show their profile but they will not equally go to find the settings to change it.
No it should popup notification to set it yourself explaining impact it has for each setting, some players do not flex cos as soon they play Rein or Mercy everyone gonna harras them to only play those heroes, so they only play dps, whatever the reasons what your carreer profile shows is’t always what you wanna play the longer you been playing this game the more this is true.
