There is not enough time for disconnected players to rejoin at the start of competitive games, I have frequently had small errors that mean I need to reconnect but by the time that’s done im already punished. 10 seconds is simply not long enough. I am currents sitting on an 8 hour ban because of this and have lost 200+ sr in the last 3 or so days. I feel this is very unfair as I have been slaving away in bronze for 6 months (but that’s a different matter). please could something be done as I don’t know if ill ever rank up if this problem persists

When a player fails to connect to a competitive match, or gets disconnected right at the beginning, the game gets automatically cancelled for all participants. That’s why you can’t really reconnect in that situation.
If you tell us more about the technical issues that make you disconnect or leave the games, we will help you as much as we can.
