Hey there!
I was wondering whether I could get banned for using a 3rd party software called “Aurora”. It’s a software for gaming keyboards, and you can make profiles for different games, including Overwatch. For example, it detects if Overwatch is being launched, and as soon as it is, the keyboard lights change (the buttons you use are the only ones glowing then). But, because it’s a 3rd party software, it says that usually you shouldn’t get banned for using it, however, there’s still the risk. So, may I use it? And if so, in case I should get banned, is there a chance of an unban?
'Cause it’s no hack or whatever, but I wanted to make these things sure.
Usually things like this should be fine…I think?
Unless it’s changing something to do with your gameplay.
I’m not sure, but if you’re worried, then maybe file a help ticket and ask beforehand?
As long it’s not Marko scripting, it’s fine.
If you happen to get banned, you can just appeal and your penalty should be lifted in no time.
If you get banned … may God(s) help you ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Anyway, if you can create scripted macros with it, you most likely will get banned … eventually. Also if it can create multi-press macros it might be blacklisted…
But if you’re not banned by now, you prob won’t be in near future …
As far as we know, lifting ban happens one in a million, so good luck with that.
Wait, your keyboard lights up if Overwatch is launched?
You should be fine, if, by some miracle, some dipstick at blizzard accidentally bans your account, I don’t see no problems with you using this.
