Possible Queue solutions?

Hi, first of all I want to say that I am happy with role queue. Game feels more balanced especially as dps. I myself play support most of the time, but since the moira DPS nerf I feel less useful and more passive behind the group.

So to make change I decided to play dps more. Sadly the queue time is absurd. But what if they rebalance the game to two tanks, 3-4 dps and 2-3 healers? Should this not be possible if you give healers more healing output and tanks more resilience ?
Or make it 1 tank 4 dps 1 healer and balance the game towards that?

Maby a lot of you will disagree and it might be too much work to do for devs. But for me it sounds like the only possible solution. Caus 2-2-2 will never balance itself out with queue times. Majority wants to play dps.

In order to balance this way they would have to do the following… all of which would be massively unpopular

  1. Buff all tanks to a point they could survive against 4 dps attacking them at once e.g roadhog with 5000hp… rein with a 6000hp barrier etc etc

  2. Nerf all DPS heros damage output and survivability to a point that would make them feel slow clunky and instagibable

3.nerf all healers healing output drastically making them feel even more “passive” and useless

It’s just not tenebal and certainly not the direction blizzard seemingly wants to go in…

With the constant tank and support nerfs and constant DPS power creep is it any wonder why dps have to wait so long for a match because people dont want to be respawn simulators for the fun of dps players

Of course the usual detractors will be here momentarily to signal their virtue in the defense of those “poor victimised dps players” and to decry the legitimacy of role queues benefit to the balance of the game

They don’t need to rebalance the game, DPS do not deserve more slots.

411 is bad, the game was not designed for it, and the devs have stated this.

The only possible solution is what we have, 222 role lock. DPS players can go and sit in QPC if they want to meme 3+ DPS to a loss.

Many have offered that same solution here (or same kind). Unfortunately, devs don’t seem to be interested of fixing the multiple problems that 2-2-2 brought upon this game.

Here’s what I suggested: My suggestion to roleq quick play/qpc tug-o-war

222 brought 0 problems upon the game, it did however fix issues around too many unworkable or unbalance-able comps (3+ DPS, GOATS), and also brought in role based SR meaning you get people who are DPS/Support/Tanks at the same level.

DPS queue time is not an issue

The problem is that if they did make the game 1-4-1, or something like that, it would entail months if not years of balancing for Blizzard to make games work around just one tank and one healer. It would mean changing around so many numbers and testing so many things on PTR that the game will be dead before they finally finish all the re-balancing. Sadly, I have no faith left in blizz rework, or hero balancing, and I’m talking about single individual heroes. Expecting them to do it for the entire roster to work around a new team structure different to 222 is a big no from me.

Role q fixed some problems, and made others worse. Which is why I always advocated for it to be an option for us, not forced. But alas, Blizzard does what Blizzard does.
