$76 for 4 old seasonal skins. On sale, it’s $44 or something. This type of monetization is predatory and should be stopped. There is 0 incentive to play the game and the new events other than battlepass. They use to give free skins through lootboxes. They give charms, voicelines and spreys now. I’ve counted, there are 6 voicelines as event reward. 6 voicelines. We used to get many legendary and epic skins. I literally miss lootboxes. I don’t care how predatory or gambling game the OW1 was. It was definitely better than this. As a fix suggestion, they should both decrease the prices and increase the amount of coins we get from weeklies. One is not enough, they should do two of these.
The old system is what doomed the first game, which is why the f2p model came in, but the way the did it is not even laughable, you are forced to spend money if you want something unless you grind every single week for months in order to afford one single new skin, i understand that the game in order to deliver good and consistent content must have a consistent income, but if the prices are too exaggerated that income will be so much lower than the one they would’ve had if the prices were at least halve of what they are now. It’s such a ridiculously simple thing to understand, yet those behind the monetization of the game act like massively inexperienced amateurs, those who pushed those prices behind the scenes should be ashamed of their incredible stupidity blinded by greed
Are they expensive, over priced… Yes.
Predatory. No.
There is nothing there making you spend.
As an option, they could add currency into the battlepass as a reward. I’ve recently reached the end of my pass and really don’t want any titles. They could put currency in there instead.
Yeah I think that’s something that might happen eventually.
But that is the incentive.
I agree but the law is the law.
Agreed. That or put credits in the loot box tiers, you know, how it is in Activisions other shooty shoot game that’s seeing another annual release tomorrow.
I’d also like to see more credits available through in game progression.
Yeah I think that’s something that might happen eventually.
sigh… you are too optimistic. blizzard doesnt care about our discussions nor will this ever change about them.
they have their own agenda which means they dont see any feedback and play the blind kid when they have to throw an excuse.
to them its just pure business. overwatch 1 will be history before you know it. and when that happens a different audience will take its place.
one monetization thread after another and people will actually start defending it.
whether this is right or wrong. it doesnt matter. as long as people are getting payed and mouths are being filled.
it is set as just.
There is nothing there making you spend.
its a subjective matter. one has more difficulty controling money than another person. and like the title already says they are monetizing.
so not only do you fill in the blanks for every single one of us with that sentence. you are also being extremely ignorant about it aswell. Nice.
but i have seen alot of these replies coming from you. ignoring facts and making opinions based on ignorance. simply because you think its the truth.
