Private profiles

remove them they have a insanely huge net negative effect on the game.

no.
having public profiles people are being mocked on due to their hero picks.

If you have a private profile everyone is going to assume that you have something to hide, dog. You’re tilting your whole team.

Also creating good team comps is basically impossible now because you can’t check wich heroes your team plays and pick around that.

The negative aspects of private profile outweigh the benefit of not being called a trash onetrick by an insane margin.

no, because profiles are private by default.

sure its possible. Solution is talking to your team.

its not about calling out onetricks. Its about people being mocked for playing something other than their “main heros”.

I had to play QP for the 9 wins and holy crap like everyone there has a private profile. But why, they don’t even touch competitive so what are they hiding from , lmao

private is default.
The question is why should all those people in QP show their profiles?

Why would it be default though. It is a measure to stop “harassment” so why people who never get harassed have their profiles private? It should be an option, not a default.

because having public profiles per default, hiding your profile alone would be enough reason to get mocked by bullies. The way it is now gives you the bless of plausible deniability of “its private for everyone per default”.
Its all good, whoever likes sharing his profile can do it anytime he feels like.

This whole game is made for cowards. You cant check how you perform relative to your teammates, you have no idea what your teammates are good at or if they are even of the same rank, next they’ll remove medals so you are playing completely in the dark.

Note that every other game, including Blizzard’s very own Heroes of the Storm, has stats readily available for people to check. This is the only multiplayer game in existence catering to whiny babies who cant handle any form of conversation.

this is for a reason I guess.
In no other game I ever played except of Overwatch I did notice such a strong entitlement in peoples minds to dictate their playstyle or will to fellow players. This has absolutely nothing to do with cowardice, whatsoever.

Every moba game is much worse than Overwatch can ever be, not only because they are longer in general but also because feeding makes the game much harder for the players who are trying to do well. Having a feeder makes for a much more unpleasant experience than having a weak player in Overwatch.

This makes no sense because why don’t you make it public if you don’t have anything to hide it takes 3 clicks. The assumption by someone looking at a private profile is going to be the same if it’s default of not.

Yes you do have deniability but it’s not, in any way or form, plausible.

i don’t like the system either.

Somehow ( weird comparison ) they remind me of these people that wear face cover in a protest, u just know they are up to no good.

Wrong.
While I have 0 reason to show anyone my personal profile (even if its just 3 clicks), I might have a reason to hide it.
Why would I want someone else other than me to decide best hero to play at any particular situation, ever? I never do, thats why default private profile make sense.

Again, in a doubtful situation you are always free to talk to your team if it comes to team comp arguments. Thats what I do.

Wrong.
While I have 0 reason to hide my personal profile from anyone, I might have a f*uck ton of reason to show it.

You see how what you said is no argument.

It’s the exact opposite in my experience and people tilt more when they see public profiles, more people are willing to give others a chance for trying an off-meta pick than before, I am pretty sure the people who complain about private profiles are the first ones that cry about having a torb-onetrick and report them instantly

Why withdraw it?

Its actually a decent statement that carries weight.

what exactly do you mean

wel this , what u actually said was good enough to be mentioned in this thread

They are not willing they are forced into doing that.

Personally i’m tired of people hitting GM with support and tank only then wanting to play DPS only when they are clearly not on that level of DPS play they just make me tilt. Seen a GM with a hiden profil = at best a support/ tank main that wants to play dps out of his league, at worst they are just trolls hiding.
