I know it’s a far-fetched idea, but what if Blizzard could develop it, implement it in Overwatch and even license it to other developers in order o use?
Just imagine it. A set of computational units which by using certain algorithms and huge amounts of data from the live game, the Overwatch forums, player feedback, and other sources will be able to immediately update the game, balance, buff or nerf certain heroes, give direct feedback to developers about what exactly players want to be added, changed or removed and even switch to live meta every now and often in order to appeal to more people and make the game the most enjoyable and fair for everyone.
Finally, a great advantage in using this program will be its ability to finely tune the heroes in order to craft the best gaming experience for everyone by rank and skill level. This means that heroes that are unbearable in certain ranks are going to be changed in order to be balanced and not unfair and un-fun to play against.
But, let’s be real. Such a project will require lots of money and resources and months - maybe even years to be fully developed. But, we are allowed to dream…
Aren’t we?
