Where is the love for console pro scene?
I have put numerous hours into the game peaking 4493 sr and number 4 on the EU PS4 ladder, however this seems irrelevant due to blizzard never officially running any leagues or tournaments for console players. An idea to counter this is to either create a similar system for console such OWL or something very similar which will bring life back into the console scenes because it allows the players something to aim for to be the “best of the best” as the OWL motto states. I hope this raises some awareness in what untapped potential the game still has. I would love to hear everyone’s thoughts on this :slight_smile:

Would love to see some sort of official league or tourney for console. There’s so many teams that would want to take part.

Or at the very least, provide some support to an existing league or tourney

Locked 60fps and cant fully take advantage of certain heroes due to aim limitations. There would be such a huge difference between the best PC and the best console team. Or even the worst PC team and the best console team just because the raw mechanical potential of the PC team is so much greater. Console Overwatch is basically inferior to PC Overwatch in every way - not trying to flame or be mean, but it is.

You had a wide array of games to pick every single opportunity to pick something that could give you just a small hook into the counter argument and you pick call of duty, pffffffffft honestly couldn’t get more brain dead, has the mountain dew effected your brain.

I don’t think audiences are interested in inferior Overwatch play(no offense, its the truth, mouse + keyboard will always have the advantage of crisper movement which results in better plays). Besides, console gamers themselves are known to be more casually inclined so its doubtful they’d watch.

well id say that for CoD fans in general but thats just me. but for overwatch

the meta for console is far different then pc. one of the big take aways is that its a great deal slower (unless someone is using a xim4 to play with a mouse and keyboard)

game sense might transfer over at the high end, but the playstyle of console is slower and OW is slow enough as it is. could you imagine SLOWER ow

controllers were a terrible idea for FPS’s but they were added so more people could play them. thats great, and im not even against console tournys

but i dont see the OWL making a console bracket any time soon. people barely watch PC Ow

I think this should should be one of the markets blizzard should look into especially with OW2 release on October 4th
