Push-to-talk goes open mic when tabbed out

I use push-to-talk for voice comms in Overwatch, and I play Overwatch in windowed mode. When I’m tabbed out though, Overwatch behaves as if I’m using an open-mic, and transmits a load of beeps/noise over voice until I tab back in.

Hey there Avendesora,

This certainly sounds unusual. Is there any chance you use either Alt or Tab as your Push-to-talk key? My thinking is that you might be activating the Voice Chat while taking focus away from the game which is leaving the option active until you return. If this is the case, can you please try swapping to a different Keybind for Voice Chat.

If this doesn’t help, please try running Overwatch as Administrator to see if that helps the game to process the Voice Chat focus change.

That’s exactly the problem!! I use Alt for PTT. Fantastic, thanks for the help.
