Same rules apply, yet you prefer QP… But get annoyed if people leave and ruin the game in QP, which is the same as people playing badly in Competitive. They’re both the same in your eyes. So that didn’t really answer my question.
So you think there are important fights in QP…?
You don’t know that at all, that’s just an assumption, not factual.
Far from it… Far far from it. I am sorry you feel this way.
QP is chill kind of mode, where you can practice heroes, where you don’t have much time to play and could leave any minute. QP isn’t a game mode people (most) take seriously. Competitive however, is.
As the OP said, banning people for leaving QP is ruining the mode, and not a smart idea at all.
Never did i say that leavers are okay. Playing badly and leaving are not the same thing and i never said it was.
Quickplay is for practising new heroes and tactics, learning how heroes work together and against each other.
Leaving mid game ruins the synergy. If i have an ult that could synergise with someone else and potentially win a fight, it automatically loses a fight if that other person leaves the game.
In comp it’s expected that you already know all that hero synergy, are familiar with maps and are actively playing as a team.
Also your question was:
Which my entire post was an answer to.
people not playing as a team in comp makes me frustrated
people feeding in comp makes me frustrated
people not peeling in comp makes me frustrated
All that frustration combines into frustrated anger, which when not properly vented can lead to anxiety attacks for me.
But none of those 3 points make me frustrated in qp because it’s not as serious as a mode.
leavers in both modes makes me frustrated as it’s basically throwing the game.
Unless you get a really good backfill very fast in qp, it is not a guarantee.
So i’d prefer if people actually played qp properly, unlike what happened before the penalties when a single match could have 10 leavers or more.
Too many leavers make a match unplayable. Qp being the mode i primarily play, i’d like the matches to be playable.
you should ask your modern day overwatch player why they would do such a thing. i asked them many times here on the forum and it always comes down to the same conclusion which is: is that they are selfish.
it describes their existence pretty much.
i always liked that ironic dumb joke here on the forum about getting angry because of the quickplay ban rule while in reality the quickplay ban was implemented BECAUSE people got angry in the first place.
while in reality a backfill or queue time in general is exactly implemented as blizzard wants it to be.
if for example queue time takes longer than it was suppose to be then they should just fix that issue and not create another issue because of the issue.
That’s incorrect. If you read the Quick Play game mode description, it’s for “Unranked Match”. What you describe, and want to do, there’s specific game modes for under the “Arcade” tab. There’s a Arcade Quick Play, which has the exact same match rules as actual Quick Play Unranked Match has, but in Arcade, you can drop-in and drop-out as you like, which that whole game section does. Quick Play is NOT intended as a “drop-in and drop-out” game mode. I’m afraid that you have misunderstood it. Have a look under the Arcade tab, you might find a mode there which suits your needs much better.
I never was a leaver back in OW1, i quitely stayed till the ends of all my games - Arcade and QP ( i don’t like and dont play comp as it’s extremely long and strict)
but after season 2 of OW2 i just felt that it isn’t the same and somehow strated to leave games and i still have that desire as I just feel no reason to stay in those stomp games
so yeah, for me it’s f2p and 5v5 thing that made me a leaver from happy support main
