Overwatch was running 100% smooth and hitch free before weekend now for random reason its interupting sound during killcams especially and freezing, no other games has issues but Overwatch i have tried everything.
Game is installed on m2 970 evo drive of 500 gb with another crucial mx300 500gb sata drive and another samsung 860 evo 1 tb ssd sata drive, game hitching like crazy, its so bad its unplayable i cannot play Overwatch competitive in this state cos it not only ruin my own games but other games its hurting my gameplay badly, whatever patch you guys released for OW that does this since after weekend plz roll it back.
This evening on another account it randomly gave no Overwatch license found then upon second attemp it logged in fine something fishy is going on.
Hard drives are among the least likely reasons.
Think i may have found culprit but a ugly fix, i have dolby acces windows 10 app that lets me enable dolby atmos for headphones in all games not just Overwatch but as soon its enabled outside game i get the audio cut outs random freezes, but when i disable it outside game but use option in game there no issues by the looks of it, so dolby atmos windows 10 app does’t play nice with Overwatch currently even tho its supported directly in game just fine, and this issue started after weekend, never had issues with this before.
With dolby atmos enabled outside game with windows 10 store app which ran 100% perfectly before btw if i go in game straight to overwatch league tab and lucio emote from owl menu there consistent freeze and drop out with it enabled, if disabled outside game there is no drop out, with in game dolby atmos there no drop out either.
I really prefer using dolby atmos option outside overwatch but by looks of it i cannot use that option cos Overwatch will start randomly lagging cause of it which is annoying, usually only have it enabled for headset do not wanna turn it on or off per game each time.

Thanks for this it solved the same issue i was experiencing, i believe it must be linked to the fact that overwatch has built in dolby virtual surround which seems to affect it even if its disabled it in game, so at least you can disable the dolby access and enable the in game version.
It always worked fine with dolby atmos for headphones enabled outside game devs messed something up and did not fix it yet.
