Reapers are too powerful

Reaper requires no aim? Hahahaha.

You play him without aiming and see how well you do.

His ult is fine.

It does not. I tried it for the joke in plat/diamong. I shoot in the body - killed on second shot the first heal, then the second then I was taken down but the damage was done.

Reaper is way too forgiving, does not require precise aim, bastion need to shoot for the head in many cases, or will die. Reaper does not have this problem, there is immunity + mobility in one and ULT is not OK. You do not have to even shoot in the people, I just jump and kill them in the air while shooting in no-one.

The only reason why it is not played above is because widow and Ashe punish a lot. Maybe they should buff the long range dps ? What I am trying to say is that dps output must be a little but less and survivability as well.

And if you clicked their head at the right range they’d of died in 1 shot.

But thats irrelevant, because the skill is getting in close.

HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD

People wanting Reaper nerfed and just those that keep getting out played by Reaper players.

Maybe trying communicating more, and paying more attention to his movements.

Also, right now the high ranked meta is Sombra Reaper. And that because of the tank meta more than anything.

Reaper mains only point is

“Lol bro, he can be killed thus he isn’t OP so please don’t make me think about it more”.

I just really don’t like hard counters man. Especially ones that can kill me in an instant without any survivability chance on my side.

Yes, teamwork is very important, but so is a little 1v1. Maybe let it be 5 shots to kill me instead of 2 or 3.

As a tank main, I dont think hes OP in the slightest.

If im Monkey and hes in my face, I can jump away. Or get a Zarys bubble, then jump away.

If you’ve jumped in and the Reaper is there… then you’ve messed up and will be punished.

I don’t know how you can say that, at all. As a Rein, Hog player, he reks me often and no, it’s not bad positioning, I mean yeah I can charge away but he can teleport close to me, which isn’t the point. Reapers can easily sneak up on you, then you’re in trouble.

Sneak?? All his abilities are pretty noisy. You can hear him moving about.

Plus your team is supposed to help you if he jumps in.

So communication and coordination are key. As I keep saying.

Hes not OP. The player is just out playing you.

Yes, sneak, not hard as a Reaper.

Lol k, because a tank can do much to Reapers. Sigh.

Every tank has abilities to deal with him. Be it escape, protect, or damage.

If a Reaper is right in your face (the only way he has any impact) then thats your teams chance to either kill (if he’s dumb enough to have used wraith) or scare him off.

Reaper is high risk high reward.

If he takes the risk to get in close. Team work and coordination stop him.

Make sure to constantly call out his movement and cooldowns.

Its like trying to make a Blind see, dont waste your time.
Next we will see Sym mains complaining Pharah is Op or Widowmaker etc … of course Reaper is super strong vs Tanks … thats basically pretty much the only area he is strong in.

Outside that is basically having awareness and focus fire for 2 sec to kill him or make him escape, thats it. If Reaper was OP his pickrate would be through the roof and it would be top 5 DPS even beyond Gold ,which doesnt happen.

People seem to forget about working on call outs and coordination.

Just remember the bad experiences use recency bias to deflect all the blame on to other things.

I certainly don’t. But do they listen? Doesn’t stop me from getting rekt by Reapers.

If they are not listening… that doesn’t mean Reaper is OP.

Means your team is not coordinating, and ignorance is costing them fights.

If many people can’t deal with Reaper, including my team/s, then it kinda does… They seem to have trouble killing him so what does that say really? My rating went down from 2100 to 1800 because of Reapers.

ohh so when you tell people who can’t deal with genji’s bad and say to “git gud” its fine…

but when people tell you to stop being bad against reapers, then its the hero thats the problem? ok then bud

Yeah. Sadly, you are just losing to people outplaying you on Reaper. And your inability to adjust to what they play is costing you.

The whole “git gud” meme is annoying. But it originates from a pretty solid place. Work on your skills, become a better player and you will climb and be the one out playing people.

I’ve got a terrible record this season… And the only person to blame is me. I have to “git gud” as it were. Fix my issues and improve as a player… No point me blaming a losing record on anyone other than me.

Ok bud, tanks can do much to Reapers right? jk

Outplaying me? Really? Because a Rein stands a chance vs a Reaper that destroys in seconds and constantly life steals. It’s not me at all, and I admit when I’ve played bad because I have, but not the other nights games. Trying to tank in a team where everyone goes DPS and doesn’t even try or change when failing is what caused the losses. This game is a team effort, don’t forget that. How can I defend a team when they don’t cooperate.

The Reaper will punish the Rein if hes poorly positioned, or unable to coordinate with his team for assistance.

If the Reaper is in the Reins face, he is taking a big risk, hoping for the biggest reward (taking down the main tank). It is not a difficult thing to understand. Call out that Reaper is coming for you and get help.

If Reaper kills you, he out played you.

If you kill him, you outplayed him.

It isn’t that difficult.

I don’t know what rank you are, or how you play, so I can’t make specific suggestions. But Reaper has to take big risks to get value. If you play with good, clear comms, that risk is usually too high in most fights and he will either die quickly, or have to run away.

hey you’re the one who espouses “git gud” when people complain about smurfs, cheaters and the like…

well buddy, if you’re having problems with reaper i guess you should just “git gud” right?

Tbf, if everyone just followed the “git gud” mantra and actually improved instead of moaning about things, the game could be so good.

Sadly people like a little moan.
