I think Reaper is fairly balanced character now. 30% lifesteal is enough (40% and 50% in the past was way too much). Good damage. Good health. Good ultimate. Wraith form is good enough but it could include a flying ability when it is used. The teleport I find problematic. Yes - the cast time was reduced and you can use it while moving. However, I don’t like two aspects in it. Firstly - it is so loud when used. The idea is to do a stealthy transition with it but it is practically impossible because he is too loud. Secondly - the animation and sound combination make Reaper an easy target to kill when he exits his teleport. If they make him completely invulnerable and silent when he uses it I think it would be a fair buff. What do you think? Is he already overpowered, trash or just “meh” to play with? What changes would you suggest?
Main problem is that he doesnt really have the means to “get in” besides the TP and compared to anything that other flankers have … is quite trash. Sure he is super effective on an ultra close range but if you use Wraith and fail or … even success on a kill, you are still dead meat.
His TP should be like Moira’s Fade. He should move to a fixed point and do it without getting “stunned”. He would be visible though, it would be like a “Dark light ball”.
It really shouldn’t though lol.
He should move to a fixed point and do it without getting “stunned”.
So… Tracer blink? The point of TP is to get up on high ground behind the enemy team.
It really should though, because you cant use it to get away … and thats mostly what all flankers can do : Use their skills to get in or out.
No, not at all. Seems you are not getting it.
You should be able to move (not shoot) while casting. At the moment you cant move, or shoot and meanwhile you point and click, then theres the casting time.
Putting it all together is ultra annoying.
you cant use it to get away
You can if you’re smart.
thats mostly what all flankers can do
A smart person would use this to understand that Reaper is not a flanker.
You should be able to move (not shoot) while casting.
The whole point of a charge time is that you can’t do anything while you’re casting… if he could continue fighting while teleporting that would basically make him into Sombra.
Snarky comment that means nothing and can be thrown at anything.
“Hey dude, you cant use Soldier as a healer”
“You can if you’re smart”.
Yeah “Ok dude”
This would be in a different universe because in this one, reality seems to differ mate:
- He literally has only 2 active skills, 1 to engage/disengage and 1 to move in and out fast.
- He is only effective en close range.
That makes him 100% a flanker but hey, live your dream. Try to play it like Soldier or Pharah, that would be “smart”
Again, you should be arguing about things that are real and actually understanding the meaning of words. I said “MOVE”, so he would not be fighting. Also Sombras TP is an item she has to throw, that has an arc and has an instant activ …
… nah at this point you are 100% trolling
Nah dude Artemis isn’t trolling he just simply is a 5000sr player. He instantly counters every single hero in his matches. There is no way for you to win against him. He will simply counter pick you.
Genji was never busted. Artemis just switched to Winston and countered the Genji while the enemie was running a rein sigma brawl comp. He just is that smart.
A flanker’s job is to annoy and kill the back line, though, while Reaper is mostly an anti-tank unit. He can get behind the enemy, just not for free and not without the possibility of counterplay. Think about it this way: Earthshatter could have a much slower swing before it hits, but the fact that it takes longer means a) Reins have to be smart about when to use it (when CC abilities are down) and b) it can be countered. Same goes for Reaper. If you’re using him smartly, you can get behind the enemy, but you don’t get it for free.
Bottom line: Reaper is middle of the pack in terms of pick rate and win rate - when you start to fiddle with the heroes that are in the sweet spot, things get unbalanced very quickly. Additionally, he’s already very easy to play (hence his win rate and pick rate is higher for the weaker tiers of play) with easy cooldown management, optional aiming, self-healing and a panic button.
