Region changing

Greetings. I would like to clarify one nuance about the change of the region. I live in Yekaterinburg, Russia. Between Europe and Asia. I would like to ask about the consequences of changing the region for my Overwatch game.
As I have already seen, by changing the region, I will not lose the experience, the hours I have played, awards, etc. But I’m interesting in…

  1. How much will increase my ping if I play on America?
  2. Will different players play with me there? I mean not from the Europe region and Europe will not play with me?

Changing region on BattleNet does nothing now.

The servers are globalised, so you will end up on the best server for the lobby you are in.

If you want to force the issue, you will need to use a VPN or fiddle about with something in Windows (there will be information on what to do on the US forums).

Um… so what the point of this? Make somekind illusion that will change something?)

Aaaaand… pretty sure that is exactly will make game more “fun”) with adding a digits to the ping value

Pretty much now yeah.

Technically we are in the “beta” of globalisation… But it isn’t changing.

I play on NA servers all the time. On 120ms playing Tank

Hey Niksera,

As mentioned by RodimusPrime this is determined automatically for Overwatch.
