Not a terrible idea - I’ve had leavers and I’ve been the leaver before, and I know that if I just had a little bit more time I could’ve got back into the game and we might have won…
Nah. Just get on with it.
No one wants to wait around for people who can’t sort their stuff out before they play.
It’s a video game, just play. Or find something else you enjoy playing more.
I think in mostly of the games, people would wait 2 mins for nothing, mostly of the leavers they never return
imo Ranked Matches should immediatly end once someone leaves and the team with more members should win + The Match should count for all Players who stayed
I know that’s a it extreme but it safe so much time!
Indeed.
That above quote sort of shows that some people don’t think it’s a terrible idea/would be willing to wait out the pause.
I yeeted something like that before, where the stayers get a null result. And to avoid people taking advantage of being in a group with a leaver, they would just receive a standard loss.
Maybe take a vote? if majority agree to pause for 2 minutes? However I feel only high elo players would agree to pausing.
Every suggestion here sounds awful. Just play on, take the L and move on.
And if it’s such an issue, try some other games
People are entitled to their opinions. If you’re reading what you consider such awful suggestions, try going to another thread, or forum .
I think their should be conversation from both sides. Otherwise it’s just a you patting yourself on the back for a bad idea.
I think this is a good suggestion as well!
Great to see the community come out with all of these interesting ideas!
Comments like this are unhelpful - they offer no constructive discourse or elaboration…
Telling people to “take the L” doesn’t solve players’ frustrations around the issue - for example I could tell you to do the same thing in regards to Orisa or other things that you dislike about the game…
That is almost (depending on the mode) 1/4 of the length of one game. People would not have the patience to wait that long. I know I would get very impatient if my game had to be paused because of someone else’s actions (and potentially having it happen twice per game is an absolute no!). Unless its something that can’t be helped like disconnecting people shouldn’t be leaving anyway…
You shouldn’t be trying to make excuses and solutions for a problem that is very easily fixed. You do realise in order to get a time out you have to:
Go into the menu mid-match.
Go to the very bottom of the menu.
Click on the option to leave.
Wait 5 whole seconds.
Press leave.
Do that in 5 OTHER GAMES in a short period of time.
Get warned that on the 5th time you leave, you will get the penalty.
Then you actively leave anyway…
If someone has intentionally done all those things…That sounds like a problem with them. That’s the punishment for leaving multiple games and they actively leave anyway. They can deal with it or play a different game…
(If it is disconnecting then thats a different story of course! Maybe stick to custom games or the arcade if you have a poor connection.)
They don’t care hulk. Bubble of everyone should have realised this by now with all his spam posts. Just take the L with leavers and move on.
I think it’d be overkill for quick play but for competitive? I’d rather wait the two minutes…
Thank you for your opinion. Yes, you said it was a bad idea to you. You can stop repeating yourself now .
I will.
But take your own advice too.
I think if a leaver occurs within the first point/2 mins for push/round for hybrid and payload just end the game with no impact on rank otherwise end it and whoever’s winning gets a win and losing gets a loss. Leavers get a loss no matter what plus the penalty.
Too easy for stacks to abuse.
It must be so difficult to follow the advice from others.
I did. It wasn’t a repeat statement, or even a response to the op.
I wouldn’t worry about others dude.
