Season 3 patch notes

Missing Sojourn nerfs.

Other than that, pretty decent. Mercy (in the right conditions) being able to totally tank the damage from Bob is going to be funny as hell though.

They said they were nerfing mercy, but reading the patchnotes makes it feel like she’s just been shuffled around instead. That 1 second added to the ga cooldown is the biggest nerf there.

All i’ve read so far has been very sensible and i don’t mind any of it. Brig has been made a little more viable which is also nice.

For “bad” Mercy’s, this will be a big nerf.

For “good” Mercy’s, they will adjust and just live longer.

They have pushed her to heal botting, but you can now actually kill the person she is pocketing.

No actually, the mercy nerfs make what was already a d tier support absolute garbage.
the “problem” is sojourn is a broken character that needs nerfed across the board and the BUFFED her.
what this patch does is make it so support players have even less fun, and mercy mains say screw it and will no longer play support.
so they made the problem they created with broken damage characters WORSE by throwing a support under the bus.

Mercy had the lowest heal per second already, slower than even Lucio. so this is probably the WORST thing they could do to support other thabn removing the passive entirely and making their health 100

This new change discourages mercy pocketing. A hero with less than half their health is healed 60 points per second until they reach half health. This makes swapping targets a better option for her than staying with a single person.
Keeping a tank alive in mid battle is now easier as you yourself will be harder to kill as well.

Almost all supports got their ultimate cost reduced, which means there will now be more support ults to keep the team alive with.

What did they do with sojourn in this patch that buffed her?
I hate that they reduced pharah’s ult cost but that just means she needs to be hard focused.

Mercy has less movement ability now, to which some people say is a good thing. To me as a mercy main it just means going back to what the movement used to be.
Her healing has been shifted to be more potent to keep people alive in clutch situations and will be less effective in topping people up.
Just hiding and damage buffing a hero is no longer an option with the health regen removed, you’ll have to be more proactive in healing your whole team eaqually.
And be more sparing with movement. It’s not impossible to stay aloft with a pharah, but it requires more skill now.

All in all, when i read that she would get nerfed i was scared for what would happen to her, but this isn’t that bad honestly.

Mercy D tier?
That’s why she was meta to pocket the Sojourn then lol.
