Here in rome happens too (even in Pescara, italy). yesterday I was playing with some friends and two out of three got disconnected from a ranked game. And I’m experiencing this problem since september started. I don’t have this issue with other games, just with overwatch. Fix it instead of deny the problem, because we’re all experiencing this issue all over 2 regions. And this is getting so frustrating.
I got it! Previously I’ve been on Korean (or Japanese) Server, BUT NOW I’m on Taiwanese: the second one is twice farther than Korean. I live in Vladivostok, Russia, if you ask me.
Why was I relocated? I need back on the Korean server!

Not sure if I’ve been having related issues or something else… but since Sunday I’ve been getting 5-10sec lag spike every few minutes across all Blizzard games. I’ve tried all the usual stuff, restarting router, flushing DNS, trying other network cables. As Ping Plotter showed I was completed dropping packets in these windows, I even bought and tried a PCIe Network Card, and reinstalled windows in desperation… Still no improvement.
MTR taken during a particularly bad overwatch game, where I must be a very easy kill standing still for 5 seconds at least 10 times in the match.

Hello everyone,
Thanks for posting your data. In order to escalate the issue, please remember we need the full set of data:
- Details of issue:
- Date/time it started:
- City/Country:
- Internet Provider:
- Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
I see you’re only posting the WinMTR, but we do need the other diagnostics as well, because our technical team needs them to check what’s going on. If you could also do a Looking Glass test (just the MTR part of it), it would be appreciated.
There are some cases, however, where it seems clear that the issue it’s out of our network. I’ll quote now those individual cases:
You connection has very high latency spikes from the first step, your router. Please, follow all the steps in this article, including the advanced troubleshooting:
battle.net/support/article/99037
If that doesn’t help, you’ll have to contact your provider so they can check what’s going on.
Your connection is suffering from packet losses since the very beginning. I would recommend contacting your internet provider so they can check that everything is fine.
@TheSerit Please, as I said before, avoid posting on multiple threads about your case. It only makes it harder for us to follow up, gather the info and moderate the forums. Posting the data in a single thread (here, for example) is more than enough.

Hello there,
the problem still persist only with Blizzard game, at the moment every blizzard’s game are unplayable.
Ping keep going from 50 to 300 and 10 seconds after it will disconnect.
Losing SR and getting random bans if you crash in the preparation time.
It’s almost more than a month that this problem is out, can you fix it?
Connection side it’s ok, cuz only blizzard game face this problem.
Thanks.
If you have the same issue, please follow my previous instructions. In order to investigate this, we need as much data as we can gather:
- Details of issue:
- Date/time it started:
- City/Country:
- Internet Provider:
- Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)

Details of issue: Lag Spikes into disconnection
Date/time it started: almost 2 months ago
City/Country: italy
Internet Provider: Vodafone
“https:// pastebin. com/beRwKVBv”
Btw a lots of people are having the same problem at moment.
What’s going on with the issue? do we have any news? many days have passed
i still have the same problem and isn’t my connection’s… i have always a ping running to google servers and to other sites just to see if i have packet loss when i have a disconnect on your game and my connection is totally fine…
seems like a routing problem from my isp (vodafone) to your servers, as i see most of the people who have replied to this topic with connection problems they have Vodafone as well.
If your network engineers need a specific information to analyze it or something just let us know so we can help, but keep us posted…
This is a widespread issue World of Warcraft Forums
This is a major issue that will probably never be resolved. I’m in the UK and usually get about 21ms with my internet connection. Now it hovers around 40 and spikes to 70 causing rubberbanding and sliding. It’s really annoying, cause I cant actually play comp. They constantly deny it and always give you the same garbage “solutions” that dont actually work, because it’s server side, not client and they refuse to accept that.
Granted, these connection problems occur for me every few days, and sometimes I can go a few days without experiencing them. But when they do happen, it persists for days on end, making the game literally unplayable. I’ve even had it in the past where my ping has gone up to (No joke) 10000. This problem has existed since the start of overwatch, and by the looks of things will never be fixed…
I had this issue this morning, lat was 23 which is normal for me in the UK was running 200mb connected internet and got booted from game, got taken to screen saying lost connection to game server, this has happened 5 times over the last couple of days. Internet is still working and was when at lost connection screen, yet after today’s crash I get banned for 30 mins.
Why don’t they sort the problems out, it this was WOW it would be sorted yesterday.
the same problem
BLIZZARD, what the heck? I’ve been disconnected very frequency in last 4 days.
DISCONNECTIONS during Competitive Match!
90% - I rejoined the match. But 10% - it was too late = I’m banned and lost my SR points!
Hello everyone,
We still need more data in order to send it to our technical team so we can investigate:
- Details of issue:
- Date/time it started:
- City/Country:
- Internet Provider:
- Traceroute (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- Pathping (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
- WinMTR (right after a disconnection or whenever you’re experiencing the issue)
Without the data, we can’t really escalate the issue so it gets checked.

Could you please provide the router model number so that I can assist you more effectively?
Let me know if you’d like any further refinements!
Please don’t necro threads.
