I haven’t played for about 6 months or so, so I get that my account has a lot of rating decay… but as a borderline silver/gold player I’m really confused why my rating hasn’t ‘re-adjusted’.
I find myself with the bronze-style teammates I remember from years ago… running in alone, ulting alone, healers in front of the tanks, moiras who do more damage than healing. DPS with less than 1,000 damage.
But, also, I’ve lost literally every single game for the past 4 days in a row except for 1. Even if I’m getting worse at the game, shouldn’t the MMR start adjusting faster than that? And I have never had a winning streak 4 days in a row broken by only 1 loss.
The only thing I can think of at this point is that there’s a shadow-pay-2-win scheme going on to keep the players spending money happy. I don’t spend money.
Comment if you spend money or don’t spend money and if you have losing streaks, and never have the same winning streak luck 5 days in a row.
then you are an account grinder, this doesn’t really apply to you.
Even accounting for skill issue, shouldn’t there be some wins? shouldn’t the streaks be balanced? even if I’m at the bottom tier, there should be a balance of wins/losses instead of constant losses.
Anyways, the games the same for everyone. No matter what accounts you have.
Play enough games and you’ll naturally gravitated towards a win rate around 45-55%. That both means you’ve found your level and that streaks overtime do indeed “balance”.
Also worth remembering. Streaks are not the creation of the game, but the decisions of the players in the lobby.
