The problem is that he combines off-tank and main tank abilities. He has a shield with a decent amount of hp, but he also does tons of damage. He gets too much space and there is almost no way to counter him (I mean if the rest of his team is good, specially supports). At least for now no one has found the way to do that.
Little nerf can add more skill for Sigma. For example damage nerf or making a cooldown for the barrier.

Sigma is not OP, he is AF weak and need buff.
He is simply over-weak against non-projectile tanks, because he have no armor and only 400 hp.
ie - Winston and Zarya is very efficient against him.
Winston pierces his Barrier and Kinetic grasp
Zarya simply pierces his kinetic grasp too
He sure as hell doesnt need any buffs. He deffo needs some slight nerfs though.
No he’s definitely not under powered. He’s dominated top tier play he needs some nerfs. Saying he’s weak because WINSTON counters him just shows that you don’t really understand them game in it’s current state. Not trying to shun for you for sr or whatever but maybe you think he need a buff because no one in low plat/gold has a clue what their doing.
