All new heroes since two years don’t require aiming … only smashing, bumping, self regeneration, the last hero is a joke.
So sad to see how OW has become.
No, just a hero that will take loads of skill to master.
Also ‘haha you play no aim heroes anyway why do you care’
just before anyone else says it.
i would call this post buffed mccree -a new hero ,because he’s nothing a like the pre buffed one ,feel different ,plays different
so you have the new mccree ,that requires aim
and tbh how many heroes do requires aim in the game ?
tracer ,mccree ,solider and widowmaker are the only few heroes that legit requires for you to aim
i would say hog is another hero that requires aim skills , because he’s really rewarding if you can put the crosshair in the middle of the body , or to aim in the middle of the enemy head
i know he’s in way like reaper ,that dont really punish you for not having the aim ,but the difference is there
I don’t really mind all those heroes who don’t require aim. But it is a little sad tho.
Me myself play heroes who require aim and i like the challange xD i main widow but i’m actually a flex haha.
But i would really doubt that they will add new dmg heroes since that category is so huge, they need to get more healers and tanks in the game.
You forgot Zenyatta, Ana, Lucio, Mei, Hanzo, Sombra, DVA and Genji in your list of aim-reliant heroes.
I don’t understand in what way does getting falloff damage reduction slightly reduced suddenly changes Mccree’s playstyle ? He doesn’t suddenly transform into a sniper because he now “only” has 50% damage reduction at max range.
This change is just a buff. In some cases, he’ll feel better, but in the vast majority of situations he’ll feel almost identical.
yeah i forgot him ,but you dont need crazy aim to be good with him and tbh because he’s projectile there’s more luck than skills
friendly targets hitbox is so big i wont put here in the aim heroes , unless you’re shooting enemies , something you should’nt be doing anyways …
sombra spread is so huge , i played her few time and tbh she’s just like reaper , you dont really need good aim to deal damage with her
same goes about dva
not at all , lol , he’s not even close to be a “aim demanding hero”
projectile heroes that reward spam playstyle over legit aim ,with a projectile making them easier to hit at certain ranges and they’re overall more forgiving , wont put them on the list of “heroes that you need to aim with”
it’s a HUGE deal
first of all , you deal alot more damage , i was poping up to 16k-20k damage per 2 rounds (no overtime) with this new mccree change ,before i was kinda struggling on to get 14k damage
and his new play style rewards him to stay behind , and take long range fights
yes you will deal more damage close range ,but it’s always super risky to get into close range combat as mccree , because if you miss your shots you most likely gonna die because of lack of mobility
now you can stand behind and shoot them from a safe distance and still do good amount of damage
if mccree takes highground , you just have to push him out or he gonna rekt your whole team
the new mccree now fell in the category of heroes who can solo carry their team
,he can headshot+bodyshot 200hp in longer range , and he can 3 tap people across the map if you have the aim - a mccree with a good aim now a threat , before he was just the enemy b(#^ch ,easy to counter , easy to play around , easy to punish
not anymore
this fall of damage is a HUGE deal and really big buff
Ana, Sombra, And Hammond all have some aspects of aim.
They all take skill except for Sombra.
sombra dont take skills ? really ?with all my hate to hack and how unfun and bs it is i still admit she is one of the hardest heroes to play
sadly the truth
This game used to be so much fun but someone just has to switch to brigitte to kill with almost no effort
Hammond actually takes a lot of skill, and aim. He’s super fun to play when you can get him right.
HAHA. When you’re in a 1v1 situation with a genji or a tracer flying around you, AIM is EVERYTHING. Zen requires more skill than luck to be effective, and I can’t believe you actually think it’s easy to aim with him.
Anyway, now that rant is over. Hammond does require aim and I think he’s been the best addition to the game in a long time. I understand Brigitte and Moira don’t require aim. But the majority of heroes require some sort of skill and some level of aim.
There are situations when you need to attack the ennemy as Ana, just watch pros play her you’ll se how often they actually deal damage to the opponents. This plus an Ana who can’t reliably hit shots on ennemies will just feed. She’s heavily aim-reliant.
At long range maybe it’s luck, at close-medium range good players consitantly hit with him, he is heavily aim-reliant. If you aim poorly you won’t charge ult fast enough, plus his only defense is basically taking ennemies down first or die failing.
If you don’t have good tracking as Sombra you don’t do anything. You won’t get picks, w=you won’t charge EMP’s. Her spread got reduced a lot now she actually rewards good tracking.
Same as DVA, her spread is only good against tanks, if you’re facing a squishy with small hitbox you need consitent tracking else you’ll die before them.
I mean, if you’re fine with e Genji that charges at most 1 dragonblade per round and only gets kills wih shift or ult, sure he’s not aim-reliant.
But if you want a Genji that actually impacts the game and charges ults competitively, you need a Genji that hits left-clicks, that creates his own kill opportunities by softening squishies himself.
A Genji taht doesn’t have good aim is just a dancing target in front of your screen.
Projectiles are more forgiving than hitscans when they get close to ennemies hitbox, but in order to do so you need to take more parameters into consideration. Such straight projectiles aren’t tat forgiving. Hitting consitently as Mei or Lucio is hard and makes the difference between one that doesn’t get ult before end of round and one that gets 2-3 ults by then.
I can agree that the buff is good, but I can’t agree that the change suddenly makes Mccree monstruously threatening and changes how to play him / gainst him. Same as Soldier.
I just can’t agree with this. Sure he’ll deal more damage once falloff range activates. But that doesn’t suddenly make him want high ground more than before. That doesn’t make him suddenly more of a priority target, in the right hands he was already a threat.
His weaknesses are still the same, he has no defense apart from a super-awkward CC, no reliable mobility, huge hitbox…
A lot of the time, Mccree can’t afford to position himself for maximum damage, he has to position himself in order not to die instantly to the oh so many threats to him.
As I said, it sure is a nice buff, as is Soldier’s, especially against Pharah, but I can’t believe their playstyles suddenly change because of it. This damage buff only applies at range, where they both don’t perform that well anyway. They just do less poorly from range now imo, rather than doing good.
Edit : right now, we’re just theorycrafting. Maybe you’re right, but just looking at the change itself, I cannot believe Mccree’s playstyle is changed with just this. I guess only future and meta shifts will tell us.
hammond doesnt need to aim , he just like reaper have huge spread that letting you missing and still score hits
i didnt say he’s a easy to aim with , you just add this up , but he’s not at all an hero that baised around aim
good orb managment and ult usage can get you really far with zen , and really this is what he’s all about
due to his slow projectile movmenet ,there’s a rng aspect in mid-long fights , making his inconsistent and sometimes takes more luck than skills to use
arguable , i did watch how pros use her , and there’s not alot of scenarios where she need to hit the enemies
anna need to heal , not to deal damage ,so you not having crazy aim wont make you a bad anna
anna is more about position and game sense than aim really
and in mid range
remeber old hanzo was really rng depending
so zen orbs are even slower , if someone adada you ,you pretty much relays on luck to hit him
you dont need a GOOD tracking to hit stuff with sombra , i would say she a bit easier to aim with than solider
it’s really easy to aim with her because her spread is huge , you dont have to be accurate with her ,she’s just like reaper , you miss yet it’s still a hit
dragonblade hitbox is HUGE
fan of shuriken is SUPER easy to hit ,all you need it camera position , not even aim
hiting shurkien on tanks is a fairly easy task
well it’s turn out that if you give the projectile crazy movement speed , it’s still as forgiving as a normal projectile and it’s as consistent as hitscan
i played alot of mccree after he got buffed and believe me he’s alot better
i got overall almost 200h played on mccree and he’s feels alot different now
