I am a Diamond player, trying to learn how to properly solo queue.
Been playing in duo/trio for basically all my life playing the game, but I am stuck in Diamond and want to improve my gameplay.
I basically play every single support besides Ana, and know how to Zarya as well.
I almost never play solo, not only for being nervous or afraid of “not being able to carry”, but because it stresses me out no to have at least somebody that listens to me or does not take me for granted while playing support. I am aware that solo queuing is potentially the best way to grow confidence and “flexibility”.
Any suggestions or things to take in count? Probably a silly post but I want to do my best and get those high ranks
Mental fortitude, patience, and positivity are the keys to soloQ.
Try hard to play as a team, via voice, and try to make the others take part in the team play and shotcalling ; by keeping the comms positive, you keep the morale high.
Know when a game is not winnable and don’t sweat about it : you can still keep trying to carry when your team is the shanghai dragons, and focusing on your gameplay will make you improve.
Play to improve : losses are part of the experience. One tip to not tilt over it : say the magic words “unlucky” and “gg go next”.
Play to have fun : spam goofy voicelines in front of your enemies to assert dominance, find new ways to use your kit and find every way to make yourself and others laugh and have fun. Emotes when you’re last alive are acceptable as long as you’re not throwing.
Don’t forget to mute and report to make the game better and you’re all set to go ranked with 5 silent DPS who keep feeding !
