Nowadays the matchmaking is extraordinarily terrible, it’s pretty clear.
When this game became F2P it opened the doors to many kind of players, some of them really not caring about the nature of this game: a team-based game. Many don’t care about pings, communication in general, they just play as if they were in a “single player” mode.
Others, they’re just too new to the game. They often stand still waiting for nothing at all, whether at spawn or in some random place, they jump off the map because they don’t know they die, they literally do not understand how the game works. And this is the actual problem: why on earth should an over 2k hours player be paired with a 2 hours one? What’s the reasoning behind this? I really don’t understand it.
In my personal experience, but also according to many friends of mine that also play OW, players at endorsement level 1 and 2 often present one of this problem: they’re unexperienced (maybe even at their first game) or just toxic players who don’t care about this being a team-based game and so they never get higher than endorsement lv2.
Overwatch 2 is now 2.5 years old. It’s time to fix this issue. And actually the solution isn’t very complex: make 2 player pools according to endorsement level, one for levels 1 and 2, the other for levels from 3 to 5.
And what if a lv5 player wants to play with their friend which is lv1? It’s easy enough too: make the lv5 player join the lv1-2 pool, and never do the opposite (allowing lv1-2 to the lv3-4-5 pool).
I can’t believe there’s a proper reason not to implement this change. This game has already a terrible reputation about its report and punishment systems (I, myself, got banned for abusive language, with Blizzard not being able to provide a single message that violated the code of conduct), many players say that the report system gets weaponised by toxic players and a lot of streamers criticize it too.
Can we please try to fix this game’s playerbase so that everybody can enjoy the game?

We appreciate your lack of constructiveness in approaching this issue. Now let’s go back to the discussion.

There isn’t much of a discussion though.
Sometimes matches are awful. Match maker isn’t the problem. But, sometimes match quality is terrible.
Getting angry about it is a waste of everyone’s time and energy.
Again, we don’t need this kind of destructive approach to the issue. The problem exists, endorsement level 1 players are constantly paired with veteran players. Streamers talk about this and how some of them even weaponise the report system.
You saying it doesn’t exist won’t make it magically disappear, it’ll only disturb the discussion and will delay the implementation of any kind of solution.
Considered your unhelpfulness towards the issue, I won’t bother replying to you anymore unless you change your attitude. Bye.

That’s a totally self manufacturered non-problem
I’ve not said anything doesn’t exist. I’ve agreed, sometimes (maybe too often) games are just awful.
But you’re dealing with multiple inconsistent humans playing in the match. Not sure what else can be done, apart from better training, but even that will only take the edge off a little.
My attitude is fine. I don’t blame everything around me when games go wrong. I know it can happen. I focus on what I could have done better and move on.
Side note, the Devs do not read the EU forums. Nothing said here has any impact on the game.
Saying it exists because “trust me bro” doesn’t work either.
Whats your evidence? Where are those VoDs or Replay Codes?
There are 6v6 experiments and since MR was out, there are less players to choose from. MM is not the issue, lack of players playing that queue at that time is.
MM doesn’t “Magically” create players for you, those have to be humans, that exist and press “Play”, you know that, right?

Same on WoW as well. Playing at 2.5k MMR, yet in my team, I had a guy in full greens that’s only won 1 game. Their system is flawed.
Comparing apples to lego to decide something is wrong… really.

You aren’t very good at being a troll. Just stick to being abusive like you do on the US forums. That is funnier.
