so recently there’s been an interview between with the lead game designer, Geoff Goodman, and he’s been asked a lot of questions regarding the game’s balance. And among those questions he’s been asked about the “Reinhardt problems” going on, and he answered that they’re working on fixing his bugs and talking about some minor buffs as well.
He said that they’re working with new tech to fix Reinhardt’s bugs and starting to rewrite his codes from the ground.
So I’m here to suggest other things to the developers, since this “new tech” has intrigued me. So here we go:
1- Close the gap between Reinhardt and his shield, currently when you look at Reinhardt you will notice that there’s some space between him and his shield. And this change has been demanded before.
2- A new passive, maybe? How about giving him some form of CC resistance like, 50% or 33% resistance against CC, or he gets an immunity every 7 or 5 seconds while holding his shield that canceles the first CC that hits him, there’s a lot of possibilities.
3- Make him faster when holding his shield, like Brigitte. She only gets her speed decreased by 30% while holding her barrier, and Reinhardt should also be like that.
4- I know the developers are discussing this, but I can’t help to mention it here. Brigitte… Reinhardt needs some changes with his interactions with Brigitte’s stun, mainly how she stuns him from behind his shield, and how Shield Bash wins against Charge but loses to Doomfist’s punch.
5- His shield regeneration rate, again we want it to be like Brigitte’s shield.
6- Give him a golden shield.
7- Fix his ghost hit problem.
And that’s my own personal changes that I want to be implemented, and surely the developers don’t need to change everything but it would be nice if they did.
