Hello,
So I booted up OW this morning and was greeted with silence. There is absolutely no sound. My audio works on everything else though, it is exclusively Overwatch where it doesn’t work. It worked fine yesterday, and I made no changes that cound have caused this, either in my PC settings nor in OW settings.
The probable cause is that OW is using a wrong playback device. It says “default” as the chosen device, and the correction option is under there. However, if I select the correct device and leave the settings, it refuses to save my choice and I still have no sound. I have gone as far as disabling literally every output device in my windows settings apart from the correct one, and still the game does not pick it on its own.
If I could manually change the output settings in Overwatch, this wouldn’t be an issue. Why is such a basic function not working? I can change other settings within the game, such as graphics etc, but for the output device it just straight up refuses to change.
Thank you very much in advance!
