Played since day 1 Overwatch 1. Never posted before. I wanted to try and feedback on the Stadium changes this season.
Stadium was a brilliant, refreshing, fun addition to Overwatch that is a real palate cleanser from competetive. No toxicity from other players, variety in testing and playing builds, adapting to enemy builds and progressing up the ladder. I could log on and play hard but for fun in a fun environment.
Splitting the format out into competetive has made a needless change to the enjoyable experience. Immediately there is teammate toxicity in the chat that wasnt there before. I dont see why the mode needed the change - the quick play format isnt as deep and who wanted the player draft and an actual competetive queue.
Queue times, especially for support, were a big problem. i dont know if this was an attempt to help with that or not but if it was it isnt the way to go.
The worst thing about overwatch since launch in general is the attitude of other players. Stadium avoided that by being its own mode, but then making these changes immediately has instantly ruined the best thing that has happened to the game for years.
