I sure hope they come back one day, I’m still so mad I missed those skins. I kinda wish they’d remove “sometimes available in shop” in the skins’ description if they’re not returning though

I think it will not be so easy for those skins to comeback. All collaboration skins like Porsche, Serafim etc… surely have negotiations of rights/images behind.
For exemple is possible that band Serafim is receiving a % of each skin sold since OW2 is using their image.
So for sell it again surely Blizzard needs to negotiate again with the agents of that band… I think is not so easy compared with OW2 full rights skins like Pink Mercy I guess, or the previous skins of Mirrorwatch… wich they can make it available when they want since the rights belong 100% to Blizzard.

pink mercy is not just Overwatch, it’s also BCRFoundation. before today there were also the assumptions that their permission was needed to enable that skin. BCRF itself has also confirmed that it is in favor of the skin’s return, according to some Twitter users who have contacted them over the years.
I know that instead the lowest chances are LEGO with Bastion Brick: after the scandals of 2021 the company dissociated itself from Blizzard by eliminating every Overwatch product in their catalog, including those that were coming out (there was also a set dedicated to Orisa and the Null Sector Titan)

You’re talking about a non-profit org and a world-wide real life event versus licensed and trademarked artists and brands doing collabs in-game. There’s a HUGE difference there.
It’s like with the LEGO event and the OPM event. They’re one-off events, meaning, it’s not coming back, ever.

I still like it to return one day, even if it can return at the store like Fortnite does, since I’m a returning player. I don’t particularly like the FOMO on skins.
