Seriously,if you belive that the game is dying then please show proof or please explain in detail why do you think that way and if possible how to fix the problem instead of: wahhhh hero x OP or hero y underpowered , I lost 20 games in a row and that means the game is rigged,…

Someone asked before to stop spamming the forum with mercy threads and that thread turned into yet anothet mercy thread.

I wonder how long it would take until this thread becomes the thread it despises.

Btw while also checking the German forums from time to time, it really seems dead. Or they just don’t complain about everything 10 times a day :thinking:

Or most of them migrated to the English forums. This was at least the case for me.

I feel a lot of the “This game is dying” comes from the perspective of those who are looking at certain aspects of the game that seem to be overlooked or seemingly ignored for the most part… and frankly i have to agree that not setting time and effort aside to deal with these issues is going to negatively impact the game and any future games that follow with the “Overwatch” label to them.

I’m referring to things such as the obvious Leavers issue that remains unresolved that cripples anyone who suffers it, The flat automation of the report system and the equally monotone and robotic response of “well you were obviously bad, sucks to be you” from customer support with no oversight, The lack of transparency in regards to SR or the statistical breakdown post-game and the Rejoin feature doing effectively nothing.

For these people the game is as good as dead. For others who whine about Hero X being overpowered and Hero Y being nerfed into the dirt, its not hard to see things from their perspective when it takes blizzard this long to deal with majorly upsetting imbalance in game.

For me, i feel OWL will ring the death knell for the games reputation. Personally i feel the OW team is pumping too much money into a hyper-competitive league that is going to push aside talent from the countries they claim to represent and turn the entire league into a Korean dominated arena. I feel older and wiser fans of the game will draw a line somewhere with the game here and will step back from supporting the league, pushing Jeff & co to pump more into advertising for it and such.

No, I doubt that. the “this game is dying” issue happens due to a false dilemma.

The game was flawed from the beginning but, due to the hype, you can’t share your criticism without getting backlash. Now, people get burned down and notice those flaws as well.

However, for some reason, you always get put in either of 2 groups, OW-fangirl or OW-hater and once you point out a flaw, people put you in the hater box and scream “See??? The game is dying!!!”. There is apparently no middle ground and this false dilemma cause this issue.

It’s called marketing and by that logic a lot of things are dead. My local convenience store has been dead for decades now, odd.

I mean game is dead on twitch, they have to do like 1000 promos with twitch and still get recked by other games that don’t do promos. The youtube videos stopped going on trending as well. Compared to 2016 this game is death. It fails to rise in popularity.

I totally agree, like why do ppl think the game is dying when millions of players and new ones who find the games are playing O.O

I don’t think that overwatch will die out anytime soon, it’s a really long time before that happens.
