Starting about a week ago, whenever I try to enter the game using my home wifi I get stuck on “entering game”, followed by “lost connection to server” then I’m prompted to log in again (even though I logged in on Battlenet prior). The cycle then repeats. My internet works just fine and I had very few problems beforehand (only the very occasional dc, on average once every few days to a week, and I play daily for a few hours) but now the game will not let me in at all.
At the start of this issue there were two occasions when it did let me in, but the shop wouldn’t load, I couldn’t create a custom game, and role queue wouldn’t show queue times or a tick for a selected role. Once, it did let me actually play and I had no issues whatsoever, no lag, no frame rate drops—until I stopped queuing for a few minutes to sit on the menu and it “lost connection to server” once more. I couldn’t get back in.
I’m stuck using my phone’s hotspot to get the game to let me in right now, but even that won’t work 50% of the time, facing the exact same issue.
I’ve tried uninstalling-reinstalling the game, restarting my network devices, flushing my dns, restarting my laptop, disconnecting and reconnecting my wifi, nothing seems to make a difference.
I’ve noticed over the years (!!) a couple of others have reported this issue too but nothing has really come of it. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? It’s like the Blizzard servers don’t want to let me in XD
