I have been fighting this issue since launch of OW2 tried contacting support, 1,5 weeks by now and no response, will paste the ticket contents here:
I have this problem for a while, when playing i get this constant microfreezing, i tried to diagnosticate the problem, this is what i found, Task Manager shows unusual amounts of RAM used by overwatch, in-game i manage to see that when the freezing happens a huge SIM spike happens simultaneously. Checked my Hardware but nothing is underperforming or overheating/damaged. Tried updating and reinstalling drivers, changing NVidia and ingame settings, setting overwatch to high priority, turning of antiviruses, closing background apps, reinstalling OS, limiting the threats that OW can use via commands on the launcher, scanned my HDD for corrupted file and components, checked game files via the launcher, reinstalled the game, changed settings on BIOS. Nothing resolved the issue. This never happens with other games that are even heavier, exemple, i can play Rainbow Six Siege with Chrome playing videos in the background, everything on high with steady ~100FPS no drops or stutters.
