Sudden Endorsement Level Drop?

I’ve been playing QP’s all night. Suddenly I get into the next game and a message pops up “Your endorsement level has gone from 4 to 3”

I haven’t left any games early, gotten some endorsements that day too… how does it just randomly drop like that?

I’ve been on 4 for along time now and despite regularly getting endorsements the last few months I’ve not managed to hit lvl 5… but how did I suddenly go backwards!

2-3 things might have caused that to happen.

  1. There is a diminishing return on the endorsement levels. Meaning that you are constantly dropping them if you aren’t getting endorsed.

  2. Getting reported by players lowers your endorse level.

  3. Losing a level doesn’t mean you lost a full level. Since the they work like this. You have 4.00 endorse level and now you are at 3.99 meaning that it wont be as hard to get it back to 4. So keep that in mind and dont lose hope.

People are reporting everyone even for fun, loser team reports you getting salty and bam you are down.

Well there is defiantly abuse going on but not everyone is abusing it so plz don’t say everyone, speaking of which these report abusers are often trolls and will call for reports on you giving no context then switch to Mei and wall you off for example or try to bait you to go into argument and the worst type of trolls are those on alt accounts cos they often do not care about there throw away account, again tho not everyone on alt account or main is a troll.

ah right, tbh I’ve gotten fed up of the whole endorsement thing tbh. I’ve sat through some terrible QP matches for fear of losing the level but it really means nothing and adds no value to my game other than having me sit through bad matches.
3 or 4 free loot crates really makes zero difference when 99% of loot crates ebd up being dupes anyway. I’ve never changed how i act or play in game so have the number 4 or whatever beside it really means nothing anymore.

Well I do nothing particularly, don’t go healer or tank because community doesn’t deserve support anyway. I leave matches whenever I want, level goes down and up. I am at level 3 as you are :joy:

Dupes means you got all the whites or blues or epic quality loot and in case of even legendary well guess they really should add more cosmetics just wait till 11 dec and you get less dupes again least for a while, however if you want 100% chance to get new loot you may wanna unlock all non event stuff first however dont spend coins on non event items now its to late for that now save it for event items.

I’ll start to care about it once they add “endorse only” stuff in to the game. Use to have it at 5 on my main now its down to 4-2 constantly jumping and dropping since i’ve given up on bothering with it, there’s just no benefit to it. The LGF system is underwhelming and inconsistent as well especially for the players that play at off-hours.
At lest on league of legends the “honor” system can help you vs random reports. The endorse system doesn’t to that. You can get banned from report abusers even if you are at level 5…

I remember the second time I got banned, we lost a game on volskaya with me having silver eliminations and gold damage as a tank. My team still reported me because they didn’t like my pick even though I did everything I could to win the game.

Report abuse is definitely very real.

Endorsement is purely psychological and based upon democracy which is flawed. My favourite system is unification but we’re not biologically set up for it… yet.

I had the same problem , it so easy to lose Endorsement level 4. What the point of getting Endorsement anyway?

Lootboxes and maybe better groups in LFG, thats it.
