I just had a weird idea for an ult.

I just want your opinion and thoughts, nothing more, because I honestly just made this up.

What if there was a hero who was able to make the whole team invisible for a few seconds? It’s like Sombra, but for the whole team. How broken it would be if you can slam and shoot the enemy team and they don’t know where you are?

Sure, they can still hit you, but they would definetly have a hard time.

Only the people get invisible if they are close when the ult starts ( then they stay invisible untill the ult stops or if they die)

Furter away like maybe a Widow standing somewhere else, they wont get invisible.

OH OH OH ! and then finally widow’s ulti is a counter for something ! then widow players have to think about ult economy with that hero as the enemy.

I like the idea, maybe the ulti would be loud so the other team can tell when they are invisible with accurate direction of the noise. maybe they increase the footsteps noise of invisible players so its a bit balanced?

the question is, what might his other abilities be?

Or maybe the invisibilty ends the second you start shooting

As long as effects like Zarya barriers, Nanoboost or Sound Barrier are still visible, I see no problem with this. It should only last for about 6 seconds though-that’s more than enough time. I can just imagine a Reinhardt smacking the enemy team around while they’re desperately trying to find where the hammer is getting swung from XD
(Also, Sombra’s EMP should knock all enemies hit by it out of stealth.)

This would almost certainly be used in goats. Team cloak, speed boost 3 tanks into enemy team with moira heals gg

Invisible and unable to interact for 3 seconds, just for possitioning purposes.
Goats stonger than ever.

While it is interesting it sounds broken at first glance. Underpowered in low ranks, and overpowered in high. With this ultimate in attack you literally have a dive composition with ANY COMPOSITION. Second, it doesn’t really need any synergy to have your Zarya/Reinhardt (or whoever else has a gamechanging ultimate) anihilating the other team just by pressing a button.

An ultimate that makes 1 person invisible is manageable, but this is too much.

You stay hidden I think? It’s an ultimate who is only a few seconds. I honestly don’t know though, maybe it would be too broken? but the only thing you need to do is just shoot around and they get visible. That’s also not really a good idea.

So personally I would go for keeping them invisible.

This gave me an idea, how about we use this as a single person targeting on sombra instead of her current ult?

Just imagine that you could choose any player or yourself to turn invisible and they can shoot, barrier, cast skills completely invisible.

yupp. It would definetly be a team ult like Sombra and Zarya and most healers. I personally don’t mind though. Any ult or teambased ults are super strong so I think this would fit so well.

Having an ultimate that makes one person invisible is basically Sombra’s abillity.

I just took it to the next level and would love to see a hero oneday who has this teambased ultimate.

plus people might learn alittle more to push with this ultimate. how many times did you scream to your team that they didn’t push together? This could make a big difference.

You’re expecting a bit too much out of Widow players, I think.^^

Receiving damage would obviously have to break the stealth, otherwise it would be extremely strong. And if it does break, it’s relatively easy to counter. I mean, when you play against Sombra, your D.Va will oftentimes just turn around and burst everywhere to look for her and Moira might throw her damage orb just to check.

I hate playing vs invisible enemies, no matter what game it is, so I hope that ultimate doesn’t come in to the game :smiley:
