Tabbing out causes Overwatch to be unresponsive

Just saw this happening for the first time, i’ve never checked before tho, so i’m not sure if it’s just a new “issue” or something that has been going on for longer.

So basically, as soon as i tab out, doesn’t matter via alt-tab or windows, when i go into the task manager and check for the OW process and open it, every couple seconds it becomes unresponsive and when i see the text and try to open the game, it won’t do it.

So what could it be that is causing this?

I’ve checked my drives and made sure my system is running fine and is all up to date.
CPU is totally fine too so no idea why it’s happening.

If anyone here could check if you get the same result, i’d appreciate that, so i know it’s not just for me, or it is and i need to figure out why.

Just open task manager, open the overwatch process, there should be an arrow that you can click and it’ll open the whole thing and in there it should be visible when it’s happening.

It could be because you’re running it in fullscreen instead of borderless, the same thing happens to me when I play rocket league, fullscreen doesn’t like tabbing out for some reason

yeah i mean, i checked all 3 types and it’s the same behaviour.
i also thought it’s fullscreen but it only does it when in the menues, and desktop (when the fps is capped to 60), so once i’m actually doing something, nothing, it’s perfectly fine.
