So I have been playing ranked and placed around the 2700-2900 area, for the past 3 seasons. And most of the time I either go like 6 wins and 2 loses on a very good day and sometimes I go and lose like 7 and win 2 on the other day.Now I could go and say"BAD TEAMMATES KEEPING ME FROM CLIMBING"but on the other hand I could say on my good days I am boosted.Maybe I am,maybe not but the thing is I just dont know why its so hard to get out of plat.I made it from gold to plat pretty easy, but atm I have the feeling that I am stuck because of dumb mistakes, that I dont realize are game changing.I am a flex player but in general I main zen.I have the feeling I am just very inconsistent(is that the correct word?) when it comes down to simple decisions. And I call out a lot of stuffâŚwhich sometimes isnt even helpful and just confuses my team.
My question is"What are the common mistakes in platinum?".Maybe I will realize with your answers, why I am stuck.Or maybe I just belong in high plat forever ÂŻ_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Have a good day or night or whenever you will read this!
No voice coms, bad engages, not knowing when to disengage,no regrouping, bad picks, not thinking about ult economy at all. No idea about win conditions, no staggering. No control over high ground. Not checking corners. Tunnel Vision

Yeah. Also waking up sleeping tracer with biotic grasp
I am still somewhat chuckling when people pretend that âbad teammates cause lost gamesâ is not a thing, just because some GM on YT âtoldâ them so. First thing is that they usually tell you that this is the case. They just got told by their âtrainersâ and advisors to always keep a âpositiveâ mindset. The problem is that this is far from the reality for the overwhelming majority of players in comp.
You can be a good players, you can make no mistakes and you probably will still loose a lot of games. There is not much you can âdirectlyâ do about it.
The only things you can do is to find some people you like and that are not terrible and play together with them. Then also pray that the MRR will not bend you over with that group and you gain more SR from winning 2 matches than from loosing one match.
What I have seen in Plat is not different from Gold. Common mistakes are:
- No/bad comms
- Throwing after loosing the first OBJ o round
- Bad picks
- Bad mechanical skills for heroes that demand some mechanical skills
- Lack of game sense.

dont flex you have a 75% winrate on zen you get less sr for changing hero during a game under diamond and you will climb very fast with a winrate like that anyway even with a 50% winrate you can climb in plat with good stats.

Wrong if you are a good player and deserve higher rank under diamond it is very easy to climb yes you cant win every game but if you make no mistakes then you would not be in silver thats for sure.
There is alot of average players in the lower ranks that always think it is their teammates and rarely have any idea about the game but they will never climb because they dont see this and also some people are just not good at gaming.
There is also players who are good mechanically in the lower ranks or have good game sense but lack in the other you cant climb without the 2 been atleast on the level of the rank you want to get.

If you mostly play zen it might be that youâre bad at spotting the fights you need to win for your team. Playing Zen can have great advantages since heâs back line healer, if youâre any good at distance shots, I suggest hard targeting tanks to bait Mercyâs into rez and killing the Mercy. Some mercyâs wonât take the bait and if they donât you did good you just won a tank fight for your team and if your tanks are still up they are gonna roll the other team now. Spotting that moment when you need to use trans is hard, the only way for you to spot those moments is to play Zen, itâs a feeling you get âI need to trans NOWâ. Lucio does his barrier as the chaos is breaking at the start of the fight? use your trans to sustain the fight for your team, stuff like that. The more you play Zen the better youâll get

Losing games because of your team mates is a thing. Being stuck in a rank because of team mates is not a thing. I think your just misunderstanding what people are saying.
Because its true that you are stuck in a rank because of your self, not because of your team mates.
Positive mindset helps, aka. not tilting. People lose way more games when they are tilted.
You can be a good player and still lose games sure. I think this is a âbroken recordâ thing here since you already said that. But making no mistakes is just dumb fing idea. Everyone does mistakes. Players in OWL does mistakes. Nobody is perfect so dont even play with the idea of âno mistakesâ. There is always room for improvement even if you are the best, you still do mistakes.
This is wrong on so many levels and causes those toxic stacks. They think they are better than everyone else and are one of the reasons for those âgames lost no matter how good you doâ. The mentality that you are way better and everyone else is just standing on your way makes you toxic and tilt easier and you actually might be able to climb some but you are stuck few hundred SR lower than you could be just because your a ignorant f.
There is much difference unless your talking about 2499 vs 2500. If your talking 500SR difference there is. The difference is just that your not good enough to spot the differences.
I always face palm so hard when people are talking about âno mistakesâ or âplaying perfectlyâ etc. Those guys are always the dumbest fâs and have no clue about anything and the sole reason why the are not down in <1000SR is because they arent mechanically trash.
Yes there is alot in the lower ranks who do this even players who believe widow is for defence its pretty funny
Ye its funny when ppl whine on attack widows and say its a def char
While sure widow is good on def but on attack its way more powerful imo. But hey its lower ranks, they dont know that a widow exists or gets kills unless the widow is standing on point being useless f instead of doing the job shes supposed to do.
