<< The ELO hell truth >>

Great video explaining a lot about the ranking system.

Some aspects like the mentality of a player are not often talked and it’s nice to see it mentionned for once.

Wanna get out of elo hell?
Well you can play 0 iq comps like goats. I know low ranks don’t want to pick and play boring champs but hay it works up to GM.

Huh, there are still people who believe in this? I thought it ended in 2017.

HAHAHA, BTC, he still misleads a lot of the community with his personal opinion. At least the other video has a high ranked player and community tested vod reviews plus more. just to clarify how intelligent BTC is, “The overwhelming majority of the playerbase has a second account higher than their other one”. Not only do they adress this in the other video saying, that getting lucky and staying in a rank isn´t uncommon, since you have to stand out badly to go down.

But we also have the fact, that we know the sales numbers from Blizzard and no, the sales of the game hasn´t gone up 100-200% since a couple of months after release, not even close.

Outside of that, he is so ignorant, that he doesn´t even know, what the system is and how it works, he says, that stats from 2 years ago still are present, no they aren´t. First off all, all stats except last season SR is reset with every new season, other than this, you just start off at the same level you left off previously, the accuracy of your hero 2 years ago, doesn´t affect the match you are currently in, so the performance based SR will still work no matter, what. Outside of that it doesn´t matter, if you perform better and win, you go up, it is that simple.

The whole argument he is making of “Anchor stats” is just an incredibly vague misinformation.

Nothing in that video is even accurate if you know how a MMR system works. The only thing your previous “Stats influence”, is at what basis you start off at, logically since it is the only information there is to go on. Makes no difference on the performance in the next match or if you are actually winning more, you just straight up rank up.

I can agree BTC is a lot opinionated…
The moment tank and support only have 60% win rate he just cries.
He hates skilled champs and players not to mention he call’s them “elitist” when his an “elitist” himself lol.

Thanks.
After watching a bit of the first video I was in denial and about to enter the stage of anger which could’ve had catastrophic effects on my surroundings.
Then you posted that video and I was reminded that yalls are scrubnubs and I’m really good.

Sarcasm aside… I don’t know what to believe. I have some issues with ranked and I hope I won’t have to add anchor stats as one of them.

EDIT:

Ah, yes. That seems more likely to me.
I suppose another reason for there to be a big difference in SR between accounts is the heroes you choose to play.

He is about as opinionated as it gets, never mind the fact he is always late on the videos and pretty much steals all the information straight off other youtubers to boot (i know it isn´t uncommon, but i hate it).

The only truth is that the system is trying to create 50/50 matches. So if you suck it’ll give you better teammates to compensate. Which leads to people who got lucky and landed high after placements going down at a slower rate. Wish the 50/50 system didn’t exist but what you gonna do, at least personal performance below diamond is a thing so if you cant climb it is 100% your fault.

Its fine his only losing subs.

Well 50% / 50%, but it also tries to keep the spread of the matches SR, within the tightest spread possible, provided there is players for it, which sometimes there aren´t so it makes more “Unbalanced games” with diamonds and silver, but the winrate/SR of both teams are about the same.

Hah how can I forget, a diamond and a gold playing in a diamond game, those were the times.

Well be glad you weren´t there at the very start and experienced some of the 4k and less than 2k duos or other shenanigans. Now those were the days.

I have. Before the placement group change it was possible for a guy who ended up diamond the previous season and was in placements during the newest one to party up with a bronze player in search of easier matches. I even have a screenshot, hilarious stuff.

Just finished watching the video and what a load of bullcrap, what is even << anchor stats >>, he mentions stats from the past without ever saying what they are, how many times you died a year ago? your rank 6 months ago? what?

I knew he was spreading misinformation the moment he talked about placement matches and was completely wrong about it, what are the other older stats that are used for them? None, they are just normal matches.

This it how it worked in s14 and it most likely hasn’t changed since then.
