Allow players to enter whatever fov they like, i play with 130 on a widescreen but there are people with ultra wide monitors that need even bigger fov. Without that option your game plays like hot garbage.
Without this option, i cant even try to enjoy your product. It makes me angry, and it makes me hate you as incompetent developers. This is a bottom line most basic thing. You are less advanced than quake 1.
I also didnt see option to disable screen shake or visual damage notificators like a red screen frame. That should be turned off as well.

Custom FOVs beyond a certain point convey advantages that obviously donât belong in a competitive game like Overwatch, itâs mainly there as an option to limit motion sickness/ease of use or to accomodate 4:3
Anything beyond the regular setting is considered to bestow advantages on people over others that possibly donât own the hardware or physical ability for it.

OW is a casual game disguised as a competitive shooter sadly.
Casuals would stay away from high FOV settings.

I could see how some people would consider a higher FOV as cheating, but when your FOV makes you feel like your looking through a hole or something, it makes it a little difficult to play the game comfortably. If anything I would be fine if the max FOV was brought to 120 at least, 103 is still too small for me. Plus I know it says 103 in the menu, but I feel like its actually just 90-95 degrees. Still too small to be 103. Normally anything above 90 makes a slight curve around the edges, like a fish-eye effect of sorts. But 103 in OW doesnât do anything like that. About the highest FOV I have seen in OW is with FOV maxed out, and using Reinhardtâs Shield.
It will probably never happen, but I would also like a bump to the max FOV available.
Always knew it was low, but due to this being the only game I played for a long time I didnât really notice how bad it was. However after swapping back from other fps games, it is extremely disorientating, to the point of causing nausea.
Thing is that the game uses a horizontal FOV so 103 is actually something ridiculously low like what would be 71 or something in source/quake. Ideally I would like the FOV to be brough in line with other fps games, I donât need higher - just the equivalent of the 90 that has been the standard on pc since forever (until the console fps dark age anyhow).

Its cheaper to downgrade something.
Lucky someone tiped me about this when i was shopping for monitors.
And thb its for the best, as a widow main if this happens it will force me to upgrade again.
Biggest load of bull Iâve heard in a long time.
Pros are actually banned from touching the FOV during competitive matches in many many games besides OW, so this entire âargumentâ implodes in on itself and if it was a casual game with a disguise, the entire Overwatch League wouldâve failed miserably.
If anyone itâs the competitive people that should stay away from FOV settings, because for something to be competitive, something must have a level playing field.
The excruciatingly low FOV makes enjoying closer range heroes much harder.
Having to spin on a sixpence as Reaper or Roadhog while enemies are darting all around you is frustrating. The FoV actually makes those heroes less effective in real terms.
As Reaper, in order to get close enough to deal meaningful damage, you get really âclaustrophobicâ when you have to spin around so much. The early mid-range distance enjoyed by Tracer, McCree, and others makes life easier for those heroes.
I know all heroes are different⌠but re: FoV specifically, ultra-close-range heroes suffer.
