The Game is not dying, but it needs to die to get our point across or nothing changes

As stated in the topic, the game is far from dead.
There are still millions of concurret players even if it’s not the correct amount displayed regardless this game is still going strong but for the wrong reasons.
This game needs to die for it to take drastic changes or nothing gets changed, the devs won’t see problems nor will they care about OUR voices.
Too many smurfs, trolls, leavers, cheaters, afk’s, bad hero design, etc…
But this is all because of the free to play aspect and the anti cheat system not doing its primary job, we get messages back saying a person has been banned when reported but never a reason as to why, so you don’t even know if it even happened or not, if anything the system could just be bringing up this notification to keep you playing and make you think things are changing for the good.

Nothing has got better.
Blizzard employees have been laid off.
And it won’t get better for many many months now even if they bring new people.

The game dying benefits no-one… what the game needs is what its gotten since blizzard got bought by Microsoft (not the fiering of employees) Microsoft care about there franchise and want the best for them so they alow the devs the people who know the game to make the Decisions on what the game need… has it lead to some f ups yes look at red fall for example but it has also brought us hems like hifi rush. What we should do is wait it out i mean goats was a problem for about 1 month and it got fixed. We should wait and see in witch direction the devs take the game i mean with what iv seen alot of what we know is happening next season is gonna be good for the game. I dont agree with giving everyone self heal as it feels like a bandaid fix and i dont like it but the rest of it seems amazing.

What you say is a bit meaningless, given that these are all issues that the development team has always fought against. Smurfers are limited by the telephone limit (definitely circumventable… but more difficult than the OW1 era in which he sold / gave away every account without problems). AFKs, trollers and leavers are not something that caused by blizzard but the community itself (punished specifically for this). Cheartes exist everywhere, and the common sense of the community is to report them every time new ones appear. and the hero design… is perhaps the strangest thing to criticize for a live service game: it is inevitable that there will be periods of balance readjustment as features such as CC, clenase and other gaming skills increase. in short, it is the nature itself of any live service game that always offers new heroes and maps every year.

there’s no point in questioning this type of situation, unless you physically demonstrate it with a smurf account that has NEVER reported anyone since its inception. On the other hand, you cannot even demand the names of those who have received the sanction, as under the law of some countries it is considered a violation of personal data, even if it concerns a notification regarding a video game account.

I don’t find any sense in what you say: the players are increasing because OW2, in addition to being free, is receiving many technical fixes compared to season 1. It’s not perfect, but evidently it works a little better than how it initially debuted. Or in any case the community is getting used to its live service nature, which will inevitably change with the arrival of new heroes and maps. and it is absolutely right that this is the case, stopping it like in 2020 would truly be ruin for the franchise without a “3” to recover it this time.

I don’t see them getting better. I think they’ve gone beyond the point of caring anymore.

If the rumoured patch for season 9 is true, that isn’t a team that doesn’t care.

If it works or not is to be seen, but that’s the sign of a team that cares and wants to make sweeping changes to push the game on.

Simply saying “they don’t care” is such a lazy and insulting way to reference the staff working on the game… Just because you don’t play it any more.

No the devs do care about the game still if they didn’t it would turn into tf2 a game staying alive because its community is so strong. If they didn’t cate they would have abandoned us by now

Yes thank you do i agree with all the changes no name one person that dose bit im thinking for my rank and lower… characters like tracer are gonna be stronger and people are gonna be more passive with here than they already are

I just find it silly when people don’t like a patch, so they immediately think the Devs don’t care or are bad at their job.

A patch not being to your taste, doesn’t make it bad.

These patch notes nerf supports, make DPS more impactful and give tanks some tankiness.

I am dubious about it being real, but if it is, I’m glad they are trying to make sweeping changes. Even if it end up being bad.

Exactly we might not agree with the changes but i think the devs really think it will help. The devs are truly the only ones who know whats good for the game yes the pros play it more and there imput is valude by the devs but honestly people are blowing this oit of proportion… i still stand with the self heal being a band-aid but if that is truly the quickest way to address some big problems then thats fine by me.

Yeah I don’t think the self heal is the right move.

But at least it won’t active until 5 seconds out of combat. So you can heal yourself, but you have to fully leave the fight to do it.
