The "group up" voice line

If I’m playing a game, and someone is overextendinh, if I say the group up voice line, I don’t want to say “I’m on my way”, I want to say “group up”. I’m on my way is quite literally the opposite of what I want to say. And if I’ve died, and we need to group up, why can I not say group up, why does it say “Kieran19106 is waiting to respawn (10s)”, that doesn’t help anyone, I want to tell them to group up, it can’t be that hard to change it to how it should be.

Don’t look at them when you press it.
Or just follow them in.

I agree with this.
“Don’t look at them”
Bro, if I want to agree with them, the default button for it should be the “F” (which is the default for “Understood”, no?). Usually there will be an ally in front of you if you’re playing support. I’m not going to look at the ceiling before I use a voice command that should obviously mean just one thing.

Start using voicechat.

You can also bind the “fall back” voiceline to the wheel. You can still use that one when dead.

Voice chat is so underused but yet so useful. The pin points really do help as well though but voice chat is more informative.

Not in low elo. We don’t make good calls. Better off just pinging things.

So many times you hear something like “tracer on me”… Well, thanks… but who are you, where are you. Just ping, so much more information that way.

Yes… But voice chat isn’t just about making calls. It’s also discussing hero changes, tactics, and straight out team work. Yes the pings are great to notify enemies whereabouts quickly but voice chat also helps the team a lot if used correctly.

I mean this nicely, as it’s the same for me.

We too low, composition isn’t going to be something worth discussing. Just play what you’re good/comfortable/happy on. If you were discussing comps and not asking to play Hog Kiriko Lucio, the conversation was a bit pointless anyways.

Voice is great if you’re in a stack. Voice is not useful solo queued in silver.

Voice is great overall. Why you always rating bashing. Yes I’m in a low rank, I don’t care…

Voice is great. With a stack of people.

Where have I bashed it. Context is needed. We aren’t good players. In our ranks it is more important to play what’s comfortable for you and to try maximise your APM.

If you’re playing with friends and have a set strat that’s different. Or an ult combo. Otherwise you’re best off focusing on doing the basics right with your pick.

Voice comms won’t make a difference there, pings will. It’s amazing how many games I’m winning just by people using pings now.

Using both voice and pings at the same time is a great way to ensure that people really do know about that flanker killing your supports, or if you see an enemy telegraphing that they’re trying to flank ult.
I know some people who struggle to notice the pings because they get lost in the audio track and they’re not visible enough for them to see either, in that case it’s useful to mention it in the voice as well.

If you say “flanker behind” and ping them your team has the best chance of being aware of them.
But i agree that the most common “heal me” is not useful at all.
Who’s this “me” that everyone keeps talking about XD

Whilst I get your point here. “Flanker behind” is such a bad call. Behind what.

Who’s the flanker, where is behind, who are they flanking to get to.

At that point, just ping. If they suddenly threaten a support. “Tracer on your ana” is enough. Or “tracer flanking coast” or other relevant map specific location.

As i said “and ping them”
With the callout your team glances around and sees the ping.
Not all of us know the “official” callouts of all the passages in the map and thus might give even further confusing info.

And at least “behind” is marginally better than “me”.

Also, if calling the said “tracer on our ana” it’ll easily become a “a tracer on… i’m dead”

Behind the team… Maybe? That kind of call makes you more alert of your surroundings. You don’t need to know every single detail of where they are, even the slightest indicator can be useful. This is where people use their heads…

It is, unfortunately they never considered this when they built the VC system.
R6/Dota/CS/COD all have a Team chat that everyone is enrolled into - if you want your own group chats then you use an enternal VOIP like discord/vent/TS.

This means that people are just not in VC, or are in their own Group Chats so you can’t work as a team via VOIP. You just get the not so clever people typing out complete sentences/paragraphs into Team Chat practically wasting opportunities to build up ults/cause damage.

But where is that. If my ana is playing a long way back, as she’s good to do now. Or are the supports playing close so behind is actually 5m away.

Or just ping and if in voice say " care, flanker on coast" (or whatever for the map)

Use your head… Quite simple really. I’ve said my 2 cents. People have made calls about Reaper being behind, i acknowledged it, and it helped me from getting flanked. Use your head, eyes and ears, you don’t need to know every single detail…

Yep, any call is helpful. Any sane person would provide more of a context unless its so obviously clear. You learn to put a her to the persons voice once you see the image of the hero they’re playing. Fully understand you mate.

If you did have to provide that much context then either the assistant is highly dim, or it’ll be too late as the support person asking for help (via providing the complete A-Z) would be dead anyway

Yeah it’s very annoying that you have to look at the ground for the correct “group up” voiceline to come out.
