The real problem

I want this game to get better. I really do!
But it seems that the community have reached a point of no return.

I have spent countless hours trying to improve at the game. Trying to rank up, playing different characters so I can fill the missing role. Although It seems to be for nothing.
Is the problem within the game’s setup?

You need heroes with different attributes and powers to work together to reach each character’s full potential. Everyone knows that. So how does it come about that there is a problem with Overwatch? It’s simple.

People just don’t care.

And how can we blame the game developers? They gave us a GREAT game! And how are we treating it? Like TRASH!

And I’m not saying the game is perfect. The game is always unbalanced with a new META every season.
But that is not what is ruining the game. The community needs to take responsibility for that one.

“Overwatch is dead”. That is a phrase I seem to stumble upon often.
Some argue it’s a “meme” or a joke and others truly mean it when they say it.
Either way it’s surely a sign that the game is not doing great.

It’s to easy to blame the developers. “Brigitte ruined the game”. Sure, she can be a bother but when it comes to the “death” of Overwatch the community are the ones to blame.

When I confront aggressive or “toxic” teammates with inexcusable behavior they do not seem to care about anything I say even if I got a valid point. They start blaming their teammates for not cooperating and being “r*tarded”.

Why is that? I get when you lose your temper it’s hard to be rational about everything. But don’t try to wipe everything of on your teammates. “You win some you lose some”. That is the correct mentality to have when you are queuing up for a match.

I am not saying that I always been the perfect teammate. It’s normal to rage when you lose and the Widowmaker not hitting a single shot refuses to switch. But what can you do?

We all have some great ideas on how to improve the game. And I agree that new features could help a lot. But that doesn’t help with the community problem. No patch can fix that problem.

I would love to go into more details but I’m just to frustrated.

If you took the time to read this through just know that I really appreciate it!

It probably won’t change anything, and I don’t see this post reaching Blizzard themselves and that is why I’m going to take my last couple of matches today before uninstalling the game.

I promise I’m going to go fill whatever role is needed.

Thank you for all the fun years.
