The root cause of toxicity is gameplay sabotage and poor matchmaking

I started getting many messages about Blizzard taking action on my reports which is good (even though it lacks a bit of transparency), but also that I received messages that I have been reported several times for disruptive chat.

I reflected on why I was getting reported. And I have to admit that although I love playing ranked overwatch, the game can be infuriating when dealing with really one-sided matches and non-responsive teammates. Unfortunately, this happens a lot, many matches feel VERY unbalanced. Sometimes I cannot believe what I am seeing and I feel hopeless because no matter how hard I try, I know it’s an unwinnable match. On the other hand, playing in a match where everyone is coordinating, and trying their best feels amazing, even if we end up losing the match.

I do believe that Blizzard increased strictness on disruptive behavior, but haven’t addressed gameplay sabotage the same way. In my opinion, the primary cause of toxicity in the game is gameplay sabotage combined with poor matchmaking that leads to one-sided matches. I hope the Overwatch team realizes this and starts dealing with gameplay sabotage with the same or higher strictness as disruptive chat.

The root cause is always player attitude.

The player chooses to be toxic

“Poor matchmaking” is generally another form of the classic cope “my team mates are keeping me down”.

Even on perfect conditions, you would only see those “non-stomp” matches if one team is literally the clone of the other, which is an exception, not the rule.

Learn how the MM works, stop coping, watch more replays and ask yourself “was I doing something useful there” or " was my position correct?" and watch how suddenly you “climb” and matches are not as “stomp” as you think.

PS: Stomps happen generally because 1-2 dudes on that team give up instantly and ragequit without actually leaving the match. Not because of the MM.

More blizzard employess making accounts on here to cover up there tracks. The jig is up, supreme court will be on Blizzard Employees ass for activley sabatoging gameplay in an effort to discourage certain players from having an enjoyable experience. What you’re doing is a form of fraud and punishable by law - Your Friendly Student of Law.

There are dozens of videos documenting the multiple accounts of gameplay sabatoge, cheating and even server hacking. It gets worse in lower ranks as players are less aware to spot it & have confidence to report. Good luck with the Scam I’ve seen many that have run longer than this one crumble before the scam artists eyes in the face of a steel set of handcuffs and an nearly eternal sentance to a prison cell.

There are millions of posts crying and psychology studies documenting how many immature players refuse to take accountability and when it comes the moment of taking the L, they become sore losers.

Check mate my dude. Good luck trying to deny human naturel.
